Q: Its been widely publicized there is an issue/bug with the avr passing 4k/120hz due the hdmi 2.1 chip, any update?

No firmware update will fix it as it is a hardware problem. It's total BS... I bought one after this issue was already well known, and rather than ship me one of the new revisions where the problem has been fixed, they sent me an older one with the problem. They have a program where you can get an adapter that will fix the problem, but they have no ETA whatsoever on those being available and are openly saying at least 6 months. They charged me and others full retail knowing the product they'd ship was defective. They should have been transparent and offered the defective units at a discount, full disclosure, and it would've been fine for some consumers' needs... but I like many others, bought this product specifically to utilize 4K HDR 120HZ capabilities for my PS5 and gaming PC, and had I known I would have made a different purchasing decision. This is really dishonest, abhorrent behavior from what is supposed to be a reputable company. They should be doing the right thing and swapping out units for customers like me to the newer revision. If they don't, this will surely be the last Denon product I will ever buy.

Q: How much heat does X2700H generate? Is a fan recommended?

Hot, depending on ambient temp. Mine is in a ventilated cabinet with several temperature controlled cooling fans, plus I leave the cabinet open while in use, and running 5 channels the X2700 still edges 90 F on warm days (measured at the top of the case). Running two zones / 7 channels is worse. Room AC helps a lot. In my opinion these receivers need built in coolers.

Q: Hdmi out- monitor 1 is the main zone and the monitor 2 duplicate display or can be 2 different source?

The HDMI monitor 2 will output the same source as monitor 1.

Q: May i connect to hdmi port the amazon fire stick 4k in this equipmet avr2700?

Thanks for your question. A video source device like a Fire Stick may be connected to the AVR-X2700H but are often better suited connected directly to a TV HDMI input. World Wide Stereo is 43 years old and a proud authorized Denon dealer.

Very good amp that can drive high impedance headphones too

I couldn't find official specs for the headphone output. I am happy to say that it can drive 250 ohm headphones at 40/100 no problem.
