Can anyone confirm if the heads on this hammer are interchangeable with any other brands of the same size?

First, to answer your question it's doubtful. This is not a screw-on head which is a big part of the problem. You have probably read reviews about the head coming off. Very true and very frustrating. I semi-resolved it by wrapping electrical tape around the stem and screwing it in tightly. I would not trust it if I needed to swing with any great force. In short, I would not buy this hammer again.
