Good value, nice compact player, very easy to use, good to have two USB connections, so far no issues playing DVDs not used CDs. Pleased with my purchase.

This is an excellent product, after having dissatisfaction with my previous disc drive, I was aware I needed a new one, this was on the slightly more expensive side, however it makes sense why, my expertise with it has been flawless, it works fine with my laptop and I believe it’s compatible with most other major laptops. It is relatively small, which is perfect for portability, not to mention that it burns CDs quickly and works without having to wait long. Also this is very simple to use and is very user friendly, even to those who don’t often use technology. You press a button, put your disc in, push it in and it’s done. I honestly couldn’t say a single negative comment about this, as in my opinion it is near flawless!

The drive worked straight out of the box, just connected it via the USB and my desktop recognized the drive immediately. It does everything you would expect, play DVDs, play music CD's, allow installations from software disks, you get the picture. It looks the business, seems well built and I like the multi coloured light to show the action currently in place with the drive. Why then 4 stars...... Because .... there's a couple of things that are an issue for me. Number one the length of the USB cable is no where near long enough if you're using it on a desktop and it does recommend to not use an extension cable to connect the drive. I had no alternative and therefore used a good quality extension cable and thus far have had no issues with it being recognized, fingers crossed on going. Issue number 2 .... just as the length of the USB cable so too is the charging cable, much too short. Luckily with some manipulation of my power sockets I managed to complete the power cable connection. I would recommend this drive though because as a laptop drive it would be perfect. It also has some very useful connection ports, USB, tf card reader along with other useful ports. A very nice carry case that is stable and secure for the device. Not with standing the cable length issues I'm very happy with my purchase.

Bought it to use in Linux mint. Worked out the box and I'm via a usb3 hub but works on the PC usb fine aswell. Only using one cable that tucks nicely into the drive. It was plug n play, has all the capabilities as it does in windows. As others say, the led just cycles colours for me, not sure if there's a driver to change its use. It's noisy being an external drive but we're not fussed these days. I'm using Brasero to burn audio cds with track markers. It read dvds as well and also burnt a working dreamcast image that booted. I'm writing at 24x with no issues on 14 years old cds.

Dont be fooled by other reviews, this drive is useless. Very temperamental to get a cd to be read and randomly pops open whilst reading. It also looks like someone has used this before judging by marks along the drawer top that looks like someone has pried it open, despite me ordering a 'new' one. Save your time and sanity and order from a different manufacturer.

Very good quality at a good price

Very happy with this DVD drive. It’s slim, lightweight, and extremely easy to use. I just plugged it in and it worked straight away with no setup needed. It’s clear, straightforward, and does exactly what it’s meant to do. Perfect for laptops without a built-in disc drive. Excellent value for money – I’d definitely recommend it

Thought this purchase would solve my problems but unfortunately it as not. Good quality but does not forfill my requirements.

I purchased a MINISFORUM MiniPC UM780 XTX, with ORIGBELIE External CD DVD Drive, on 7 February 2024 and am extremely happy with both. Bought the top-of-the-line UM780 which is superfast to startup/sleep/shutdown/reboot, load programs and files, WiFi access the Internet, process data, WITH plenty of FAST STORAGE and RAM, open/save/close/work between any/many files/types, beautiful screen redraws/multiple windows, access/backup to my 2TB Toshiba Canvio external drive, never pauses in its synchronisation of data to my OneDrive account in the cloud... lots of ports and plugin options, such a sweet PC! And with a new HDMI cable, it lets my aging monitor display like new again (next on my list to update, then run both!). The ORIGBELIE is an excellent choice for external portable CD/DVD drive-burner/USB hub for the odd bit of current (and older) media access, with another bunch of modern ports/options too. Slimline, well made, quiet, fast, smooth running/opening/closing and so dependable. I also love the colour-changing graphic tiger face on my MINISFORUM MiniPC UM780 XTX. Why not! A cute modern take on friendly, personable technology. Price: well, what an absolute bargain for everything this smart little beast does so fast, so easily, so well. Both items through Amazon Australia were easy to buy, track, securely collect from my choice of suburban delivery lockers nearby, and well packaged for transport! This external CD/DVD drive is really easy to use. You just plug it in and it works right away. It’s small, lightweight, and great for playing CDs, watching DVDs, or installing software on a laptop. It works with most computers and barely takes up any space, which makes it super convenient to keep around. Super slim and modern look. Fast and easy setup.

O gravador de CD DVD tem função também para tocar mídia e funciona no iOS Sonoma , gostei muito do produto, me atendeu bem.

Acheté car maintenant il n'y a plus de lecteurs/graveurs de CD/DVD sur les ordis et que sur l'ordi il n'y avait pas non plus de lecteur de cartes. Utilisation polyvalente, fonctionne très bien, j'en suis très satisfait et je recommande.
