Bottom line, it works great at stopping free-swimming algae. The water in my pond is very clear and clean. My fish are healthy. I was using a traditional algaecide before I switched to Nualgi, and my main reason for switching is that my cats and neighborhood wildlife like to drink from the pond and I didn't feel great about these animals drinking the algaecide, even at diluted concentrations. Even with the algaecide, I struggled to keep free-swimming algae at bay, and the pond water often looked murky. The plants in and around the pond were dying. Total water changes and pond bottom cleanings did nothing to help. I was using beneficial bacteria but to no avail. I switched to Nualgi in the spring, after the winter cold killed off most of the algae that had bloomed in the summer and fall. Right away, I noticed that string algae was forming on the waterfall that is part of the filtration and aeration system, but the floating algae was not coming back. Two years later, I still have zero issues w/ swimming algae. I do get string algae on the waterfall still, but that is easy to pull off in clumps and does not affect the clarity and quality of the water. The fish are healthier and more active, and the plants in the pond all came back to vibrant life. I did not change any other aspects of my pond care regimen, other than changing to the Nualgi. The beneficial bacteria colonies have rebuilt themselves in the pond and the Nualgi seems to work in a complementary fashion with the colonies to make my pond clean and clear. Nualgi is a great value for the price, bc so little goes a long way. I add about 1/4 of a tsp once a week -- that's it. So easy. Highly recommend you give it a try, but wait until your algae has died off a bit. I didn't find it effective in clearing a murky pond but rather in preventing the swimming algae from taking over otherwise clear or decent water. Review: Love Nualgi - Love this product. Keeps my water clear. ## Features - REPLICATE NATURE FOR CLEAR WATER: Patented nano-nutrient formula fuels beneficial diatoms that naturally absorb excess nutrients, leaving your pond sparkling clean without synthetic additives. - MASSIVE 60,000-GALLON CAPACITY: Highly concentrated 60ml formula treats up to 60,000 gallons of water. Water will turn brownish. Its not harmful to the fish. Will dissipate in a couple of weeks. Can do a 15%-20% water change if required for aesthetic reasons. **Q: Does this product work for koi ponds in full sun?** A: For me, this stuff works great. My koi pond is almost in full sun. It keeps water clear and is safe for all fish. **Q: In several days my 4 week treatment will be completed and my 3' deep 800 gallon pond is maybe 30-40% more clear. Green algae on rubber sides. Advice?** A: This year we had an unusually warm and super dry spring into summer (Ohio). My use of this product this year took more like 6-7 weeks to get my pond balanced out and algae cleared up. **Q: How long will a 124 ml bottle last me dor a 5000 gallon pond?** A: Maybe a few weeks. Though I don't recommend this product because it doesn't work ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works! *by G***T on September 12, 2025* I have been using this product on a 800-gal koi pond with one large koi and two shubunkin goldfish. Keeps my water clear. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works stunningly well! *by G***K on June 10, 2026* It REALLY works! This product works stunning well to clear cloudy water that was especially clouded with algae. Like pea soup. We could not see a single fish, let alone the bottom of the pond. Two days after the first application we could see that it was working. After a second application (you only have to use a little bit) the results really started to show and it has been about 10 days and we have a fairly clear pond... we see all of our fish and we see the bottom of the pond! Every year we have a pea soup mess of algae like this during this time of year as our pond is in full sun and surface plants haven't multiplied enough yet to provide decent shade. The result we are seeing is quire amazing. I am feeling pretty confident will be crystal clear within a week. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nualgi Pond Care Natural Pond Cleaner, 60ml, Clarifier for Fish Ponds, Safe for All Aquatic Life Including Koi, Pond Water Clarifier Treats Up to 60,000 Gallons - Nualgi Beneficial Bacteria, 16.9 oz Enzyme Bacteria for Freshwater & Organic Ponds, Starter Bacteria for Outdoor Water Gardens, Natural Pond Stabilizer for Fish, Pets & All Aquatic Life - Nualgi Organic Digester, 8.8 oz Concentrate for Pond and Water Feature Maintenance, High-Count Bacteria for Naturally Digesting Waste, Treats up to 8,000 Gallons - 100% Safe for All Aquatic Life --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/403621914-nualgi-natural-pond-cleaner-60ml-clarifier-treats-60-000-gallons](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/403621914-nualgi-natural-pond-cleaner-60ml-clarifier-treats-60-000-gallons) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
