Over Analyzer - loving this purchase!
My first review on Amazon - first off I love my piggies! BUT I also love my house to smell clean and free of odor. So I did a ton of research. I was tired of the paper mess and food and hay being stuck all over the place. I bought the girls a nice Mid West Cage. I read 100's of reviews from all over the place online. I decided to order 2 of these GuineaDad Fleece Liners and AM SO HAPPY with this purchase. First off what has really saved me with this pad is my piggies only poop on it mainly. There are a few spots here and there and I have had to spot treat it if the washer didn't get it out but I bought a potty (no grate) for the girls and put the paper shreds in there. Another reviewer said to take the paper from what they were on previously that had pee on it and stick it on the new paper. I did just that...inside their little corner paper potty. Both girls never potty trained and both close to a year old started to pee on the paper on that little corner plastic potty. I also bought a little sweeper for GuineaDad Fleece Liner. So in the morning and evening I feed the piggies in their little hay trough I bought with timothy hay, I sweep up the extra poops that didn't make it in the potty and its clean, easy and doesn't smell. I have had those pads for a week in the pen at a time with no smell and I change the paper in the potty every other day. Fast and easy. Clean. No smells. I do try and switch the fleece out every 3-4 days. The Fleece is easy to sweep up. And I never dry it. I wash in regular cycle and then when it comes out I just hand stretch it out both ways (vertically and horizontally) and lay it outside to dry. It comes up a little on the sides of the cage which I like. Ive had no problems with it whatsoever and the Girls love it!!!! :)

The BEST Piggie Fleece Money Can Buy
After trying a couple different types of professionally made fleece bedding, this one is by far the best. The quality of the materials is impeccable. Most other fleece bedding is made with low quality commercial fleece from box store chains with uhaul blanket for an inner lining. The fleece used in GuineaDad is so soft and supple it almost feels like suede. The bamboo inner liner of GuineaDad is so much more absorbant and durable. Perhaps the biggest selling point for me is the waterproof material on the bottom. I have two adult guinea pigs in a single Midwest cage. With other fleece liners I have to put several layers underneath to contain the pee but with GuineaDad I only need the fleece liner thanks to the waterproof bottom. The instructions say that you only need to change out once a week but I do it every day. Maybe I am just more fastidious about keeping my pigs clean, dry and fresh smelling, but I just find it easier to swap it out daily. I have two GuineaDads that I alternate with so they go through the wash frequently. They wash well and do need extra drying time. Despite the rigorous washing, they havenโt pilled like other liners do. Hay also comes off like a breeze and dont wind into the fibers. They are absolutely worth the investment and I will be purchasing more to add to my stash. My pigs LOVE the pocket. If you prefer to use it without the pocket simply turn the pocket inside out and fold down underneath the bottom.

Saves on the $40 a month for bedding!
This is going to be a little in-depth as far as how the product is and how it works with my cute little guinea pigs Stella and Lola. These are my opinions and what I've experienced after two washes and two weeks of using this product. I love supporting small start-up companies and was looking for something to help me save money on buying bedding consistently. Not only that but my guinea pigs kept sneezing but I always took them to the doctor and there was nothing wrong with them. No upper respiratory no anything. Crazy right? I came across this liner shrugged and said, "why not?" no harm in trying. Bedding normally costs about $40 a month for the large bags that can clean a cage about 4-5 times a month. I buy about two of these per month. Right after buying the product I placed it in the cage after my most recent cage cleaning. First I want to state that my guinea pigs love the little pocket. Aside from chewing on the material because their only a few months and I've noticed they chew on everything no matter what I do to make it not happen. They hide inside of it and rarely use the hutch I have for them to hide in they love it! The box that the liner came in converts into a small little hutch for your piggies. I took their old one out and replaced it with the other they adore that too. What a smart and clever idea! I spot clean often and the liner absorbs rather well. However, the stench of the liner before was interesting and then after the piggies use the bathroom it smelt worse. I noticed after a few washes though this smell goes away a little bit when you hang it up you can still smell the odd smell from the beginning of purchase. A small price to pay for all of the pros of the product overall though. The material is soft on my guinea pigs' feet and they feel so happy when I place it in their cage after washing and spending a night drying. They're always so excited to see it! also, I found out that my guinea pigs could've been allergic to bedding in general because ever since putting the liner in not one sneeze has occurred. Overall, I love this product and it has saved me a lot of money per year. Thank you so much Guinea Dad for making a product that both guinea pigs and their owners love. My friends also think the cage looks super cute with the liner in it compared to some other liners and material on the markets used for guinea pig cages. I support your brand 100% I'm just still trying to figure out the smell and why it holds after washing it. I wash the liner twice a week and spot clean daily. I hope this review helped some of you with this purchase. I don't regret spending the money for this definitely worth it!

The only guinea pig bedding you'll ever need to buy
I've been using my GuineaDad 2.0 fleece liners for about a month now, and I'm very impressed. I've tried paper bedding, puppy pads, fleece blankets with Uhaul furniture blankets underneath, and all of them had some terrible flaw. Paper bedding is very wasteful and expensive and not particularly easy to keep clean. Puppy pads are extremely dangerous since guinea pigs love to chew them and end up with impactions. Fleece blankets and furniture pads have to be cut to fit the cage (otherwise you have to deal with a lumpy, misshapen folded blanket), they may not be absorbent if not prepared correctly, and vacuums suck up the fleece. It took some courage to take the plunge with GuineaDad, since it is a significant financial investment upfront, but it is so worth it. The liners are designed to fit my Midwest cage; they're a little bit bigger, to allow for possible shrinkage from washing/drying, which I appreciate. As soon as you take the liner out of the box you can tell that it's a well made, high quality product. The liners are so thick and plush, perfect for delicate little pig feet, with a waterproof bottom to keep urine from soaking through and soiling the cage itself. One end of the liner has a fleece pocket for pigs to burrow under, which brings me to another point: My pigs don't burrow under these blankets! When I used regular fleece blankets, the pigs would always tunnel underneath, push them all over the place, and leave a big poopy mess. The combination of the fleece pocket, the thickness and heaviness of the liner, and the way it fits the cage perfectly and sits flush without gaps means that pigs are much less inclined to burrow. The fleece pocket is prone to getting sucked up by vacuums, but it's easy to just lift the end of the blanket up and shake or brush debris onto the quilted part, where you can easily vacuum it up. If your pigs aren't interested in the pocket then you can also just fold it inside out so that it sits underneath the waterproof liner and reveals the quilted part underneath. The heaviness of the quilted liner means you'll have no issue going over it with a cordless vacuum, which makes cleanup incredibly easy. Smell is non-existent with these. They are super absorbent and wick urine down inside the liner; I've never noticed any wet spots. If you have older or sickly pigs who absolutely need to be dry, these would be perfect. I have three guinea pigs, in two Midwest cages. I have two sets of two GuineaDad liners so that I will always have a clean set waiting at any time; instead of having to wait for them to be washed, I can just take the dirty one out, pop a clean one in, and do the laundry at my leisure. I pick up their poop by hand every day, multiple times a day, and clean up food debris with a tiny broom/dust pan set and a cordless vacuum as needed. I machine wash and dry the GuineaDad liners once a week. It's that simple. No other bedding option has been this easy to manage, and it's fantastic not having the ongoing costs of disposable bedding. As far as negatives, I will say that I don't like having to wash them in cold water to avoid shrinkage. As you probably know, guinea pig bedding has the potential to get absolutely disgusting if daily spot cleanings aren't done, and it's instinctive to want to throw the bedding in the washer with very hot water and a cup full of bleach. With cold water, sometimes there can be stuck-on bits of boar glue or other mysterious substances left on the blanket after washing, so it's worth checking the blanket over beforehand and pre-treating with stain remover or just giving the spots a quick scrub with laundry detergent before putting them in the machine. If they ever come out with a GuineaDad liner that can be washed in hot water and bleach, I will find some way to give it 6 stars. But for the most part it's not really an issue to wash them in cold water, and they dry just fine on the low setting too (though I think I will start air-drying mine to protect my investment here). So far, after almost a month of usage and several washings, my liners are not showing any wear. I will update this review if any issues arise. I am not a shill, and I paid full price for all four of the liners I purchased so my review is absolutely not biased. I have really struggled with keeping my cages clean in the past and dealing with bedding options that just didn't work. These liners make it so much easier, and you can tell that they were designed by someone who actually owns guinea pigs and knows exactly what we need from our bedding. Seeing how happy my pigs are in a neat, tidy, clean, dry, and smell-free cage is worth every single penny I paid for my GuineaDad liners.
