Highly Recommended
I am so thankful that a friend on Facebook recommended this book. After reading what it was about and then it only being $.99 on the edeals, I decided to give it a try. I am so thankful that I did! I couldn't put my kindle down. Holly did a wonderful job writing this book. As you read it you could almost feel the emotions she was experiencing. Her book causes you to want to go deeper in your relationship with God. It also helps you realize that things may happen throughout life, but God is always there to wrap His loving arms around you. Buy it. Read it. Love it. It's well worth the money.

Honest and Simply Amazing.
I had the privilege of reading Holly’s book before it went to publishing. I laughed, I cried, I bawled and then I smiled…..and finished it within 24-hours. Holly’s journey has unspeakable heartbreak. It also has unspeakable love.To read of Holly's life and how she articulates her indescribable relationship with Jesus, you understand who she is as a person and more importantly as a Christian. Every chapter of this book is in direct relationship with what we go through every day – She is not only writing about her journey, she writes about us all. It hit home on so many levels, from the death of a parent to falling in love. From her move to another state, then another country, to meeting new people and adventures – she relates to the life that everyone lives. I could not put it down. Hot Chocolate in June reminds us all that hope, prayer and the smallest thing like a cup of hot chocolate is all it takes to maneuver through our time here on Earth, and more importantly our time here as Christians.

Thoroughly Relatabe
I devoured "Hot Chocolate in June" by Holly Mthethwa in one sitting. Her beautiful words poured out her love for her Savior, her husband and her family in ways that were thoroughly relatable to a fallen human like me. Holly was born in the USA and I was born in South Africa. She moved to South Africa and I moved to the USA. I loved reading about her adventures in India and in Johannesburg. I trod those streets with her every word. I laughed and cried for the orphans that God has rescued. The Providence of God is evident on every page. I rejoiced to hear about the generous heart that still beats and reaches out to the desolate in a troubled South African society. I cannot wait for her next book to be able to read the rest of the story.

Fairly interesting story of how she became fell in love with a South African after they met one time
Fairly interesting story of how she became fell in love with a South African after they met one time. They fought a lot, but got engaged after many skype conversations. Feels unfinished as it ends shortly after their return to Africa following their honeymoon. Would be good to have an update in 5 years to know how their life continued

Very interesting read.....honest and open.
This is a good book for anyone to read but especially for a single person who may consider themselves incomplete without a mate. The book is open and honest about her feelings and yet always comes back to the core of her beliefs--the Bible.
