I have an older cat that sometimes doesn't make it to the litter box in time and has a dribble. Keeps everything below dry. Has saved me from washing and switching comforters daily. Went back and bought a second.

The blanket is separated by a thin film of plastic between the two polyester sheets. This thin film will melt if thrown into the dryer after a wash. Even on a low heat. Therefore the only option to clean is to wash with cold water and hang dry. Only thing is water will get in between the two sheets, the blanket will feel like it’s 30lbs after a wash. So you figure put it back in on spin only this time in order to get more water out. this is a huge inconvenience. Even with all those precautions I could still squeeze lbs of water out the blanket. So once it feels like most of the water is out it’s time to hang dry right? Well think again, hang drying is very impractical as it will likely start to mold before it gets fully dry. So the only option is to throw it in the dryer and have it lose its plastic film due to the heat. Very shoddy product.I have purchased 3 of these blankets. I am not sure why there aren’t more honest reviews but my advice is to look elsewhere for a water proof blanket. All 3 of these blankets are really just absorption pads rather than actually waterproof.As a cat dad sometimes the marking might be on the couch or bed so I’ve bought these thinking they’d work but the markings go right through, making this more of an extra layer rather than a protective waterproof barrier. It holds the smell of urine and quite honestly is not worth it.TLDR: with all my heart I urge you to look for another product this blanket will not prevent pet urine from leaking through and retains the stench after a wash

Purchased this blanket to help manage my dog's incontinence. I was rather skeptical when I first received the blanket because it was soft and fluffy without that "plastic" feeling or sound. After it protected my couch and her dog bed, I purchased two more of these blankets as backups. The only problem I have found with this product is in getting it dry. If you place it in the dryer right from the washer, it rolls up in a big ball with the waterproof side out - fluffy side does not get dry. I found that hanging it to dry for a few hours before you put it in the dryer does the trick.

Like very much but my washing machine won’t spin well as the blanket is heavy .

Very warm and durable and my cat loves it.
