I didn't really expect it to work, but it did!
I wanted to be able to geotag the photos I take with my D5200, but I didn't want to spend hundreds of $$. So I decided to give this a shot. It worked much better than I expected it to.Pros - Connects to my Qstarz BT-Q1000XT without a problem. Much cheaper than most other Nikon GPS solutions. Doesn't use the shoe connector so the pop-up flash can still be used.Cons - It blocks the LCD screen from rotating when you have the display extended out to the side. After managing to insert the thread that came with it into the oddly shaped hole, I tied it to the camera strap -- where it now dangles and bops around when I'm not using it. I need to find a better way to attach it so that (a) I won't lose it and (b) I can quickly get it connected to the GPS port but (c) it will stay out of the way when I don't need it. Suggestions?

GPS in my pocket, geotagging on my photos
I use this on my D7000 with a BT-Q818XT: Qstarz BT-Q818XT 10Hz Bluetooth GPS Receiver and it seems to work well except for one small problem: I don't get geotagging on about 5% of my photos. Not a huge problem since the other photos have the location set, so I know where I was. I don't know if this is an issue with the camera, adapter or GPS receiver. Another annoyance, and this is more for the camera, is that this sticks out the side when it is plugged in. It seems to be pretty securely attached, but the little door on the connection ports is open and loose. I wish there was a solution to lock all this down. Maybe tape :-)Overall I am happy with the product and it does what I want: geotag my photos.

Works fine
After reading the harsh reviews of the other devices, I thought I would give this one a try.The GPS Adapter plugs in to the camera and picks up a blue tooth signal from the GPS device. There are several that you can use - my choice is the DeLorme Earthmate BT-20 - I can turn it on at the start of the day and drop it in my pocket and forget about it.The major advantages of this device are1) that it gives coordinates nearly instantly after you turn it on once the GPS is running.2) very minimal power drian (though you don't want to leave it plugged in over night)3) It is supposed to latch the last coordinates if you take it inside shooting. I haven't had a chance to test that yet.4) Comes with a little retainer cable that keeps the adapter from getting lost. A nice deisgn that makes it easy to tie the adapter to the strap. Don't forget to use it.The disadvantages are:1) It's Nikon's fault, but the left side of the camera body is an awkward place to plug something in. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but I wish they had put the plug on the front like they did on the D3002) the adapter is just a little too tight. It seems to loosen up with use, but still...This one I've only used once on the road, but I also have one for my D300 that I've used on a couple of trips. Both devices have worked very well and very dependably. DeLorme Earthmate GPS BT-20 - GPS receiver - automotive

Well Done
Note: This is designed for the Nikon D7000 camera. I think it will work on other cameras, but the camera may not "sit" correctly when set down. This product has a sister model, the AK-N90 which causes the D7000 to not sit correctly - which is why I think they made this version. Also, I doubt anyone would think this, but in case you were wondering this device does not contain a GPS chip, so it relies on an external GPS device to send a signal via Bluetooth. The product works very well. I walked just walked into my backyard, tuned on my QStarz 818XT GPS device and the camera picked up the coordinates immediately - so well done for the manufacturer. It's extremely small and does not interfere with holding the camera. I like this concept better than the other GPS solutions because you can keep the GPS in your pocket. Not to mention the QStarz 818XT lasts 40+ hours on it's own battery, and is an extremely capable GPS. Not to say the on-camera GPS's don't work well, but I think there's less compromise with this set-up because the user is not concerned with aesthetics or bulk of the actual GPS device.Regarding the shipping and seller: I ordered this product 10 June and got it 13 Jun (and I'm in Hawaii). It beat an Amazon 2-day delivery by 1 day, all because Semson & Co processed it immediately, which is standard for this merchant (not to mention they used the USPS, which is generally slower) - so good on'em.

Can't be any easier
Easy to use and does what it is supposed to in connecting the receiver to the camera so GPS data is recorded

Darn good
Simply put it works just great. It sends a signal to my receiver as far as 30 feet or more.
