Absolutely worth the money
There is controversy on whether these cheap units are better than a shop vac... if you are hesitating because of that, don't. Its much better than a shop vac for dust collection. I will say, that I am not a WEN fan. I have been burned by low quality on a few of their tools, but the price on this dragged me back for more punishment... So far i am pleasantly surprised. The next cheapest comparable dust collection unit was still 50$ more at harbor freight, and any sort of unit that would be an further improvement was 3x the price or more, so i decided to take a chance on it. For roughly the price of a shop vac, this is a much better choice. I went through 3! shop vacs before trying this. Burned up a brand new craftsman, tried a used ridgid that had nowhere near enough suction, and was using my old "filter queen" house vacuum with some success, but needed more airflow, as my hoses kept filling up with dust. This is way better. The suction isn't necessarily impressive, and if it encounters resistance, it wont "push through" like a shopvac might, but it has way better air throughput, which is what you need for dust collection. Manage your expectations, keep your hose runs short, and enjoy. My small shop dust collection system finally works!

Works perfect
Absolutely, fantastic little dust collector. I have mine hooked up to a cyclone double seperater using a 32 gallon metal trash can. It has plenty of power and works great. It says in the manual that it's made for dust and not large chunks of debris. If you plan to hook up to a table saw or router you'll want to add a double filtration system. 30 bucks for trash can and 21 bucks for cyclone fittings on Amazon is all you need to make this a great addition to the shop at a very affordable price.

Works for my needs. Economical
This works I will keep it due to the value for the money. Only issues I have is that it needs new carbon bushings approx every 250 hours. And 2ndly they don't recommend using a planner due to larger dust particles and that u should purchase a cyclone if u plan to and connect to it. If I was to get a cyclone then I wouldn't need this a shop vac would suffice.

Great dust collector
I love this thing. I mounted it on the wall to save space, and it really sucks. I'm using 2 of these in different spaces in my shop to replace a 2 HP grizzly dust collector that was just too big. It's not as powerful as the grizzly, but there's 2 of them, and now I don't have 50 ft of 4" pipe running through the shop, which tended to reduce the sucking power of the big dust collector. I did replace the bag with a 1 micron bag with a window (5" opening works fine) which works better and also you can see if it's full. Also, I'm using a 4" clamp with thumbscrews on them so it's easy to unscrew it to empty the bag. I use this on a tablesaw, router table and bandsaw. This moves way more air than a shop vac - I have a rigid shop vac and it would not move dust out of the tablesaw/router collection area like this will. And the good news is it's really small, especially when on the wall.

Hmmmm
First impressions are not great, first time turning it on and it launched out a big nut and makes ALOT of noise. Will update review after figuring out where the nut belongs and hopefully get to use this thing a bit. Update- after figuring out the mystery nut that came flying out was intended to hold the impeller on and replacing it it seemed to work decent except constant clogs with light planer work. I removed the metal screen and resolved the issue. About 10 hours on the machine and it seems to work well so I changed from 1 star to 3. It’s still very difficult to look past the massive initial failures.

Will WEN replace it?
I've had this for 9 months. I've emptied the bag 3 times, and am nearing the 4th full bag. The motor bearing is failing and now barely works. I've contacted WEN, but it's been TWO WEEKS and I've heard nothing, so I'm not sure what to think. Terrible customer service. Honestly, I'm not sure how good this is. There's a 1 star review here that says it can't handle 2 tools, which is absolute nonsense. I have a splitter to two 2.5" hoses. I use it on two tools simultaneously all the time. From my table saw and planer, to my band saw and multiple sanders. However, what I notice is that, compared to a vacuum, when you make the hose smaller, like for my orbital sander, suction decreases, whereas in a vacuum it increases. It's really weird. Some people say it's quiet, but I've found it's pretty loud. Sure, I can't hear it over my table saw, but I can hear it through the outside wall of my house, and even in my neighbor's house, so...

Good suck for the buck
Downsized a few years back and let several things go, including a 2 HP JET dust collector. When I got a new planer recently, I had to have something better than the canister vac. I was prepared to be disappointed, but I'm not. Plenty of suck for the planer and drum sander. Surprisingly good with a SawStop PCS. Not enough keep the top clean, but great for the cabinet. Pleased enough I think I'll get a second one just for the saw.

Too Bad It Clogs.
Sadly this dust collection does not handle my Wen 13 inch planner well. This clog in the pictures was after 14 1 inch pieces of maple at1/64. I never had more than 4 boards at a time in the planer because it had clogged before. When it is not clogged it is amazing, but my planer is one of the primary reasons I need dust collection. I’m hoping the good people at Wen have solutions. Probably returning it if it happens a 3rd time. The suction is great, I think this is a design issue.

Mal el producto y mal el vendedor
No funciona bien.

Highly recommended
Great product. Used it to suck up cellulose insulation from attic from my 100 yr old house. Attached a corrugated weeping pipe to it and made fabric bags to catch the insulation. Worked like magic. Highly recommended
