Works EXACTLY as it should. This is NOT a kids toy! It's an ADULT magic prop for a performance. It is a coiled roll of thin strip steel that has a powerful urge to expand. I do not find the edges to be overly sharp, but they CAN cut if the cane is allowed to over expand so the edges are fully exposed. This doesn't happen on its own. This cane is NOT for use as a regular cane and is fragile to bending. It's for SHOW, nothing else. My video shows how to properly work the cane trick. Slightly compress the cane in your hand to release the spring/catch as you hold it all tightly. Then make sure the cane ends don't point towards anyone/anything. You must fully (and BRIEFLY) let go of the cane and then immediately grab it again as it fully expands instantly. Some practice with this will help. When you compress the cane again, untwist it very slightly as you use both hands to loosen/tighten as you compress it. DON'T FORCE the cane to fully compress if it seems to not want to. It won't work properly if the full length of cane isn't very loose for compressing/expanding. Twist/untwist it and you'll get a feel for using this prop.

ordered it and when it arrived i was excited, the pin is really easy to let it slip out and it shoots out really cool like. has a paper in it with a qr code that goes to a list of videos of how to use it. the page that has the list has full screen spin to win advertisements. red flag. okay whatever x out of that, videos are very vague and low effort and dont do a great job of explaining how to do things like retract it. Comes with white sticky gloves, okay, because it takes time to figure out out to get the hang or whatever, also a warning to use it with them. Fair enough. Tried, got it, tried again to close it, super hard, the technique in the video doesnt work, eventually just twist to loosen it and close, didnt realize it but it cut into my fingers. how i have bandaids on two of my fingers trying to type this up so im lazy with typos and grammers. cut werent deep but were really strong bleeders, now the cuts itch like i havent felt before. Returning the product, not safe. reading a lot of the reviews is what i should have done first. maybe good for some people but you arent collapsing this thing for a show without walking aawy bloody. funny thing is the gloves are white, maybe to help you find where you got cut.

My son loved it until it broke within a week of owning it. Not very durable and come unwound pretty easily. You get what you pay for with this item.

I will say, there is a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how it works. I took it out of the bag and it fully extended without warning. I was almost ready to give up right then, but I clicked the QR Code to watch the videos. While not comprehensive, they gave me enough info to figure out what I needed to do. It can cut you, so be careful. But after a day of playing around with it, I've got it down. It can be temperamental, but I truly can imagine how to make it small enough to fit in my pocket and still extend to a full sized cane. We will see how it does in performances next month.

When I got this item it was already damaged and it would not open at all so please do not think this is a good item and save your money for something better than this $ucking dumb item who ever invited these should be a real shame of them selves and should not be able to make and sell things ever again on online stores. I just wished I would have read the other peoples reviews before purchasing because some of the results of people buying this item is ridiculously dangerous and should not be sold on online. Let this be a warning to parents on thinking about buying this for there child DON’T BUY ever it’s dangerous and useless and not worth your time, effort, energy or money. And if you want to buy it go ahead I can’t stop you from what you buy you do whatcha gotta do and whatcha gotta buy

Great quality 👌. It did unravel a little but it was easy to fix but be careful not to scratch the paint on black maby gold learnd that the hard way.works just as its supposed to you won't get a metal cut.DONT POINT AT YOUR FACE!!! most the bad reviews I saw could have easily been avoided.If you get for a child help them so the don't shoot the selfs,hold you arm straight out and point up and down.when it extends let go for a split second. I have merely practiced with this cane for a few minutes and the gold on the foil is already wearing off and the larger end is folding in on itself. Poor quality!! The rod & loop mechanism used to keep it closed up is also very faulty
