New York City Kids Tee T-Shirt Screen-Printed Youth Shirt

This is a nice shirt. However, it is too small and the sizing is weird. The large says 14/16 but large is normally 10/12. This shirt actually is about the size of a M which is usually an 8. And it shrunk a little in the wash too so it’s unwearable.

I ordered this shirt for my 8-yr old son who wanted to be John Lennon for the Living Museum in his second grade class. I would consider my son "average" for an 8-yr old boy. He is approx 4 ft tall and weighs about 43 lbs. Wowsers!! This shirt arrived and the sizing is waaaay off!!! I thought I was being safe by ordering him a M, which according to the size chart should fit 10/12. NO WAY!! This shirt would be perfect for a 5-6 year old!! If you are considering ordering a youth size shirt for your kiddo... You MUST order AT LEAST 2-3 sizes up!! No kidding!! Trust me, you will thank me later for this review. In hindsight, I wish I would have known to order my son a Youth XL. I think that size would have fit him perfectly. He still wore the shirt to school, but we had to stretch it out first. I urge the company selling these shirts (NYC Factory) to update the sizing on these shirts. The youth sizing is not accurate at all. I still gave the shirt 3 stars bc the shirt itself is cool...if you can get one that actually fits! BTW: My son was a huge hit as John Lennon at his school. Even the Principal stopped and got his photo with him! In the photo of him posted below, the shirt isn't sleeveless, we just rolled it up for the picture. He actually wore a blue jean jacket over it also.

Perfect fit for my 8 year old!

We purchased the small for my short (48" tall) 8.5 year old to wear as John Lennon in her school's wax museum. I wanted the tee to fit like a shirt rather than a large fitting t-shirt in order to get the "look" just right. Since I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old as well, I wasn't concerned with not getting its full wear once it was washed and dried and possibly shrunk. So, I ordered size 6-8. If I'd have wanted the shirt to fit on the bigger side, I'd have likely ordered up.With that said, the result was absolutely perfect. It still fits as pictured after a washing.

Nice quality. Bought size 10/12 for my average sized, just turned 7 year old, and the shirt will probably be too small in just a couple of months. Definitely buy a few sizes too big.

My 8 year old son decided to be John Lennon for Halloween. The shirt is a decent quality and looks really good on. After reading the reviews I decided to go with the size 14-16. It fits him perfectly. It is a trim fit but not too snug. But If I were shopping for his regular clothing at Gap or The Children's Place he wears an 8 or 10. So this shirt definitely runs small as other reviewers have stated.

Everyone said it ran small, so I bought a M for my small-ish 9 year old boy. It's too big. M is 10-12 years old, and I think that's correct, especially if your kids are on the skinny side. I -- an adult woman -- can almost fit into this shirt.

I bought a 2T for a little girl that’s about to be 2 and it looks like she won’t be wearing it for at least 2 more years. All her other 2T T-shirts I got her fit now. The shirt is awesome though.

ordered xl in boys which is a 14-16 normally. this item was about a 6.
