Awesome subwoofer!
Just added the Audioengine S6 to my desktop setup, and wow—what a difference! This little sub is an absolute powerhouse in a perfectly compact box. It integrates seamlessly with my A2+ speakers, filling the room with rich, detailed bass you can feel, not just hear. It doesn’t boom or muddy the mids; it just extends the entire soundstage beautifully, making everything from acoustic tracks to action movies more immersive. The build quality is solid, setup was plug-and-play simple, and its small footprint is a huge plus. If you want to add serious, clean low-end to a bookshelf or computer system without overwhelming your space, the S6 is a fantastic investment. Zero regrets—just great bass!

Great subwoofer for those with limited space
I am actually listening to my subwoofer now and it sounds excellent. It serves double duty as part of my turntable stereo system and my home entertainment center. The subwoofer is the perfect solution to a difficult problem. I live in an apartment and have limited space. It fits perfectly in my small space and allows me to enjoy incredible sound. It may be small but it packs a punch that brings my music to life

I use this in conjunction with the Audioengine A5 set.
Did my upstairs neighbor come knock on my door because I was bumping a little too loudly? Yes. Anyway... It's compact, not heavy by my estimate (varies wildly by strength of individual human), can by very loud but doesn't have to be. What's great is that you can tweak the settings on the back and get great bass clarity without it being muddy at a wide spectrum of volumes. Absolutely recommend. Just, be mindful if you live in an apartment.

Amazing!
I recently purchased the Audioengine subwoofer, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The sound quality absolutely surprised me—it’s rich, deep, and incredibly clear for its size. The bass adds a whole new dimension to my music and movies without ever feeling overwhelming. For the price, the performance is outstanding. I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars!

Pretty Good but not for my current setup.
I have a pair of PreSonus Monitors and wanted a subwoofer to pair with them. Needed the smallest option for space and this Audioengine Sub was a good size. I thought this would be plug and play if it had the correct inputs and outputs but it did not have anything to connect to my monitors as they use XLR and the only way would be to find a XLR to RCA or Aux cable or adapter and that would be more things to purchase. I did test it out with Aux with a different speaker and it does provide impressive lows and bass for its smaller size than other options but again since it dosnt have XLR, I can't plug and play to my monitors. I did look into the Augioengine A2+ monitors if I got those to pair but maybe another time if i am looking for new monitors. I ended up deciding to purchase a subwoofer from PreSonus so I can match brands but obviously its a little larger but its plug and play and I made it work. This Audioegine sub is still great and compact size but likely best with Audioengine monitors to pair with. I returned the sub but will consider the bundle option with monitors if I do replace my current setup.

A nice option if you value clarity over impact
Given the size of the cone, I would expect much more impact. That said, it is a front firing cone without a port, so it was my error to expect an impactful bass response. Quality: the sound is clear and and the separation is noticeable. For a small room, this is a nice option if you value clarity over oomph. I did have trouble with positioning it to avoid phase cancellation with the A2s (even with the phase switch). The color and finish is weird given what the other AE speakers look like. Given the price, I think it's a mediocre value. Ended up returning.

I'm using with Audio Engine A2+ connected to a PC/DAC. The sound is quite nice. It blends in well. Small size makes it easy to place. The only thing I'm not completely happy with is that the trigger volume for "auto on" is quite loud. I e I have to really crank up the A2+ to "wake" the sub. I'm not too happy about having it always on or have to manually turn it on.

I mostly listen EDM and that thing brings the sound of my Audioengine A2+ to a whole new level. I had to put some foam under the printer sitting next to it to avoid vibrations noise.

Packs a good punch for the size. Smaller means less obvious in the room.

Match Made in Haven? Have Fun
