Q: Is the new version as good as the old one?

I never tried the old one but the product is quite good. I love it. Definite slowing down of hail loss and breakage.

The product is labeled cruelty free.

Q: What does this smell like?

In my opinion this has a light scent of eucalyptus/tea tree oil. That's said, the smell does not linger or keep after rinsing. I am sensitive to perfumes so I would not use if the smell lingered. This is actually my 5th product for thinning hair and can say my hair looks and feels different in a good way compared to all others.

Q: Does it helps with alopecia problems?
