good book, bad printing
I am not commenting on Martin Johnson's text here. The print-on-demand printing of this text is, however, worth noting as largely unreadable. The "publishers" took 369 pages of original text and reduced it down to an inexpensive 109 pages. That's three pages of original text per new page, with a font size lower than anything readable. Moreover, there is no formatting or layout; it's a giant text doc just dumped into a new printing. Find an original printing if you want to read this interesting book.

Great story, crappy photo copies.
The real life adventure story and the writer ( both of which I was familiar with) are top notch but the photographs, apparent photo copies, were in most cases very poor quality and in a few cases impossible to distinguish. Simply random dark spots on a white background.I realize the originals were old but that said, either the result should have been better or the publisher should have just left those particular ones out.Or was the editorial staff asleep at the switch?

Don't Fall For This Book....
I love Jack London but i was sucked in by a cheap price for this one. Don't fall for it. The book is broken up in print and not even worth the $1 price point in terms of being enjoyably readable. The text is very broken up and thus very distracting to a good read. That said, I have read the book before and Jack London is always great.

Great Adventure
This was a great book! I have read Jack London's Cruise of the Snark and Charmian's Log of the Snark. They are all extremely interesting. Anyone interested in reading about some of the amazing adventures that Jack London had during his life, that later resulted in very interesting books and stories, should read this.

Paradise Found
Excellent book on the adventure if a life time. Fiji, Bora Bora, Samoa, Tahiti are just a few of the islands visited during this 1906-1908 cruise. Go back to a simpler time before these jewels of Eden have be come commercialized.
