Silent Quartz Clock Movement, Long and Short Shaft with Hands Battery Powered, Wall Clock Mechanism Motor Replacement DIY Repair Parts

I bought this to repair a carriage clock which had stopped. I liked the option of short and long shaft motors and in the end used the short shaft with numerous shims to hold it back from the face. The hands supplied were far to long for acarriage clock so ended up cutting the big hands down to stubs so I could use the fixings onto the shaft and then gluing the original hands to them. Clock is now working and keeping good time. A cheap way to repair an old clock. Plenty of options with multiple hands.

These are very thin. I ve had paper thicker! They bend very easily which isn't good as you have to press very firmly to get the hands on the mechanism. I had a set of hands missing. I was expecting a little better quality for the price. I ve brought very cheap ones before and these are of the same quality. I thought they would at least be strong enough to withstand the force needed to set them up. Its a shame. They do seem to work OK for now. The battery was quite a tight fit. There were no instructions but after studying the pictures I figured it out and whilst the pressure needed made it difficult. The setup was very simple. OK product but perhaps not worth the price and missing parts. Edit: I have since spoken to the seller regarding the missing part and a whole new set was sent to me as compensation for the trouble. This was dealt with and sent very easily and quickly so therefore I will be changing my review to 4 stars.

Good bit of kit and looks great, easy to install

I am so glad I found these replacement clock components! I have a bespoke handpainted clock that I didn't want to throw away when the clockwork components stopped working. I found these clock parts and was impressed to see they are the silent mechanism. I put one set into the clock face and it now works like a dream, and even better, it's silent!! The old clockwork used to tick so loudly, so it's lovely not to be irritated by that when I'm trying to sleep. I like that there's 2 clock sets, plus a variety of different size/styles of hands. Now I have the option to replace again if any of my other clocks stop functioning. Such a useful set, I am very impressed with it!

I bought these for an old clock which we were renovating. I liked that they are good value for money, with lots of different shapes, sizes and styles of hands to choose from. I didn't like that they are such thin fragile bendy aluminium. I would have liked them to be stronger, like made of steel or something more robust. It was quite fiddly to assemble them on the clock face and there were no instructions. However, I managed it in the end and the new clock looks really good on the wall. We have lots of leftover hands to use on future clocks, so that will be useful.

Bought these to repair a clock I bought from another site. I was hesitant as I'm not the most technical person, but hey ho, it all went well and months later the clock is still going well. It keeps great time, very accurate and ticks away silently ! The hands were just the right size and it was good to have a selection to choose from !

I finally changed the mechanism on an outdoor clock that stopped working. This took quite a while as I had never changed a clock mechanism before now. The item does not come with instructions of any kind. I watched a few YouTube videos and managed to get a general idea of what should be done, but of course none where specific for this particular product. The item comes with several washers and I had no idea where they should be placed. I ended up trying to follow the old mechanism setup. Despite this it seems to be working fine so far and it definitely is silent! Please be aware that this item does not come with a weather proof back cover if intended for an outdoor clock. I was able to reuse the old cover although not an exact fit. Apart from the lack of instructions the item seems quite good so far.

These work perfectly! I put them to work several months ago, and they are still ticking along, keeping time perfectly. They were easy to install and fit just right. The variety of hands is wonderful. You're sure to find what suits you. I was apprehensive about these because of the low price, but they are excellent.

die Uhr läuft zufriedenstellend und ziemlich genau. Zeiger sind sehr dünn und vebiegen sich bei der Montage sehr schnell. als Montagehilfe eignet sich ein Kugelschreiber sehr gut. Miene entfernen und dann erst testen ob der Durchmesser ausreicht. Wenn Ja, mit dem kleinen runden Loch die Zeiger vorsichtig hineindrücken.

Sostituito meccanismo a un orologio, vecchio, ma per me bello, con l altro meccanismo, (la confezione è doppia) , ne costruiro' uno anch'io......

It went like clockwork, no pun intended. It replaced my broken clock mechanism easily, and the whole process took about 10 minutes. It works better than my previous one. I’m very happy with it, and it saved me from having to buy a new wall clock.

The mechanism is quiet but installation needs some techniques. My clock has a concave glass cover and a Second hand. After a few of failed attempts (the hands won’t move and stopped working after half a circle), I had to compare the height the shaft between the new and old box, and add two washers between the box and the back of the clock to decrease the shaft in front of the clock. I ended up reusing my old hands to avoid having more variables to my success. Also had to make sure that the shaft is perpendicular to the face of the clock. Aside from missing instruction sheet, my other complaint of the product is the battery slot is extremely tight. If I had to do over, I won’t undertake this project as now I am not sure if my clock will ever be accurate again after all the fussing like bended the hands slightly regardless of all the care I took.
