I like the spool form this comes in, easy to use in that respect. However this is paper raffia and has to be used with care when trying to pull tight. It’s not too strong and will rip. Good raffia for fluffing up a package but not for tight knots.

The spool of Orange Raffia was awesome. Evenly width. Used to make bows for my Halloween decor on my lamp posts outside. Just ordered another spool in Beige to make new bows for my Thanksgiving decor on my lamp posts outside. Would highly recommend this product. Great value for a reasonable price.

My two older cats fell in love with some raffia twine from a clothing purchase (hooray for natural packaging), but the natural material quickly got shredded by their claws during playtime.Pictured with a US nickel (and about the length I use for their "toy" strands).This spool is my attempt to cheaply make fresh "toys" for them. I suppose I could use it for tying presents or as a ribbon substitute, but my primary use case is the feline one. For that, it works well.
