The Ginger PeopleOrganic Crystallized Ginger, 4 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

This is fairly expensive candied ginger but it is tasty and wonderful and thus, for me, it is worth the extra price. The pieces are all basically the same size and shape, which is nice if you wish to cook with it; the consistency will be the same throughout. This is a rather 'hot' ginger, too; the contrast between hot and sweet is distinct and very pleasing. Be warned, though, you can consume one of these small boxes in one short sitting. They are that good. I think Ginger People do 'ginger' better than any other company out there, and hope they continue producing these high quality products.

This ginger is excellent. It is fresh and juicy and isn't stringy at all. I don't cook w/ ginger, I just eat it straight from the box, so I can't comment on this particular brand's cooking quality. The cubes are small and generously sweetened, I usually eat 5 or 6 at a time.My only gripe is that it's a little more mild than I prefer, but that's just a personal preference, I enjoy a very spicy ginger. I was surprised this ginger turned out to be so mild because several other reviewers have remarked how hot it is. If you're looking for a very spicy ginger, you might try another brand.

My daughter gave me a box of this delicious ginger for Christmas last year. I loved it, but when I ran out, I couldn't find it where I live, so had to order it online. Trouble with that is the amount: six boxes. Well, problem solved: I shared it with friends. Wonderful ginger: Fresh, no stringy or tough pieces. Eat it with tea, dice it and add to trail mix, or eat it alone. I'll order it again when the time comes!

Very happy to have found this ORGANIC crystallized ginger at amazon. I used their regular crystallized ginger for a few years, but then we moved out of state to a location where I couldn't find any. Tastes great - whether eat as a snack, add to tea/water/coffee, etc. I eat it for the nutritional value and health benefits (mainly anti-inflammatory). Also sent a package with husband to work - great for nausea and to ward off migraines.Manufacturer confirmed latex-safe (no latex gloves used in manufacturing facility).

I bought this ginger for my wife thinking it was probably made in Australia or in U.S.A. because the only factories listed in Ginger People's web site were in either Australia or California. Therefore we were quite disappointed when we found out that it was made in China. We could probably have bought it cheaper in the local Chinese grocery store. We tried it and it was both very gingery and sugary. All you could taste was a full month of sugar and it was so HOT. The ginger also came in small cubes and they should call it candied ginger. Some were quite tough. In short, I was not very impressed with this product. We could probably purchase better products in the local Whole Food. We were also skeptical with it being Organic since it was made in China where the standard for "organic' can be substantially different that that of the States.

I like my crystallized ginger in the form of natural looking slices that are big and sort of chewy. These are perfect little uniform cubical pieces that are more like ginger gumdrops than anything else. It was impossible to tell that from the package illustration, so I'm rather disappointed, especially because crystallized ginger can be had for way less money.They are tasty, however. This is a high quality product, just not in the form that I like best.

These are wonderful candies--fabulous flavor.The pieces are large though, and when I cut them into smaller pieces to put in cookies, that exposed the gummy center. All of that exposed interior surface created a lot of moisture that made the cookies spread and flatten. The flavor was great, but the cookies looked awful.These might work for baking if you don't cut them up, but you almost have to because the pieces are so large.

Crystallized ginger is on of my favorite sweet snacks. I was excited to find this organic natural ginger, but when it arrived I was disappointed by how sugary it was. It feels like eating ginger flavored sugar cubes. Other than that, the ginger seems to be of good quality and has a wonderful bite to it. Maybe I will use it to sweeten my morning coffee.....one ginger lump or two???
