Reizen Loud Ear 110dB Gain Personal Amplifier

This unit is compact, handy and low priced. It comes with batteries which is a nice touch. At first I had a little trouble with sounds of low static and sometimes electronic crackles. Here are my hints for excellent use. #1 use it in your "good" ear if one is better than the other. #2 use large safety pins to pin the cord to your easy chair, put one pin by the unit and one 8 inches up the cord. The unit is light and easily falls off the chair arm. #3. get 2 pieces of scotch tape. fold over 1/2 inch of tape for easy removal. stick the remaining tape one piece over another on the SOUND INTAKE GRILL , press into place. for me that stopped so the static and electronic crackles. if it doesn't work for you just pull off the tape. This is my second purchase of this device and, in general I like it very much. It has helps me avoid a $699 co-pay and lets me hear people (when I want to). One additional quibble -- in addition to the suboptimal earpiece -- is the space in the battery compartment. The AAA cells that come with it fit quite well. However, the first time I tried to replace the AAA cells (with the Amazon "choice" type), I couldn't get te little cover to go back. These AAA cells are just a tiny bit too chubby. Many other brands of AAA are skinnier -- especially the cheaper "kock off" brands. A set of batteries lasts a nice long time, but it is well to check your replacement AAA cells in advance so as not to be frustrated (as I was) trying to jam the little cover back.

I bought this for a friend of mine who is currently in a convalescent facility. Hearing aids were hurting his ears, and I don’t really think was getting the job run done right. Plus all the battery exchange was a hassle. When he was admitted to the hospital the Laud ear device was used by several of the staff. He heard great, it’s very lightweight easy to insert, and pretty much does exactly what it supposed to do. One downside, of course the loud ear magnifies everything. If you are in a noisy environment, such as a dining hall, it’s pretty difficult to hear anything. That being said, one on one, in a quiet room, visiting with an elderly person, the Loud ear works quite well. I would definitely buy one again if needed.

I have otosclerosis and tinnitus, conditions not easily fixed with hearing aids. But this personal sound amplification device has been a lifesaver, especially in meetings.What's good: Old-school analog device. Turn it on and it's immediately usable. And there's no delay, like you get with laggy digital USB or Bluetooth devices. It's reliable and rugged, and great value-for money.What's not so good: The quality of the single earpiece is not the best for my condition, but substituting with dual-ear headphones solved that. There's no rechargeable battery, so you may need to have a couple of spare AAA batteries. The on/off switch (incorporated into the volume dial) can be inadvertently switched on, say, when pocketing the device, which will reduce battery life.I'd be interested to test some bone-conduction headphones with this.

I am very glad this product arrived earlier.before buying this product I saw the reviews of other people who have already bought this product. but I see there are only a few reviews. I doubt this product. but when I read other people's reviews about this product. how surprised I am all the very good and convincing reviews.without thinking I bought this product. because I really need it.and how surprised I was again, when the goods arrived early.I immediately rushed to try, it turns out this product is amazing. I will not be disappointed buying this product
