I Want to Be A NURSE When I Grow Up Hardcover – Picture Book, May 24, 2022

I saw this posted on Blake's FB page and wanted to check it out. There was a "Becky" character which was a nice tie into his videos, and I could relate to some of the nurse character descriptions that young Blake saw in the book! I have no young kids at home, so it was donated to the village library after I finished reading the book.I'm hoping young library patrons will enjoy it as much as I did. It promoted nursing in a humorous way. Thanks Blake for that!

I bought this for my baby girls graduation gift! She is going to college for nursing. She loved this book so much and is looking forward to sharing it in school. The book is cutest representation of future nurses. Thank you so much for making her graduation…PS she had COVID on graduation day and did not get to attend and this book made her day!!!!!

I have been a nurse for almost one year. I have followed Nurse Blake on social media since my days in nursing school. This book was fantastic! I shared it with my mom who is also a nurse. We both loved it. Great for nurses and great for teaching kids about safety and helping others!

I bought this book as a part of a baby shower gift, everyone loved it!! Teaching them as young as possible that they have options, unlike the way I grew up. Never thought I’d become a nurse in my mid-30’s but I gave myself a shot and it was scary and hard but I did it! Hard work pays off. And I love Nurse Blake!!

The book was put together upside down. I got this for a gift for a baby shower and she just got it out to read to her baby and it was put together upside down.

This is absolutely Nurse Blake in cartoon form! I love the story. It's cute and funny in a way my 6yr old granddaughter will understand and enjoy! I can't wait to have her read it!

You know those Amazon packages that you track all the way to your house and as soon as it opens you rip open the box and you're excitement lasts all the way until the last page? Yeah, this was one of those purchases. It encompassed my career in a very unique way that I can't wait to share with my kids and the kids of my friends. The words on the page and the pictures go together in a way that makes one believe they were meant to be together. Going to highly recommend this read to all my friends and also those with kids.

My 5 year old son enjoyed this book and laughed several times throughout. Fun way to review what to do when someone gets hurt and highlight how hard nurses work, with silly kid humor.

The use of the word "loner" in the book is very disappointing, as that's not a word I'm comfortable with my daughter hearing/learning at such a young age. Unfortunately I had already given the book to her before I read it fully, so I had to cross of that sentence. See photo. The little jokes to make a child laugh are cute but I also don't love the section that puts nurses in such a negative light. A cranky nurse isnt going to be yelling and clenching their fists in rage; not if they want to keep their job anyway. That would be wildly inappropriate. And even if it is a joke, kids don't necessarily understand the full concept of these things. It's important to keep the target audience in mind.
