Bugs gear 18 frets soprano aqulele x-toy f-hole printing plastic waterproof ukulele is a brand new soprano ukulele, which has been positioned as a suitable instrument for outdoor activities, such as camping, travelling or simply relaxing at beach. Free from environmental changes such as temperature and humidity. It is a great instrument for you and a younger, smaller physique that will be the most precious gift for your son, daughter and cute nephews/nieces who have yet to play an acoustic guitar. It adds a luxurious feel to the slot head. The side-hole design makes the vibration of the sound to spread farther. Please don't be prejudice that plastic ukulele has poor sound and bass. Our bugs gear plastic ukulele sounds way better than any other plastic ukulele and has abundance of bass. You will be impressed with our plastic ukulele quality of sound. Enjoy bugs gear plastic ukulele's resonant sound with a reasonable of volume and great sustain.

Plays easily. I really have no complaints.
Can't wait to take it camping, we love to camp and there's no way I'm subjecting a wood ukulele to that environment (but I'm not willing to go without access to one for DAYS either). I don't see any reason to not take it out in the kayak as well. Yes, it's plastic but to me it sounds fine (haven't been able to compare it to a Waterman, but my local shop had some Ukadelics and I think it's superior to those, more full (not that I don't have every intention of getting a Steampunk Ukadelic should the opportunity arise, so cool)). Tunes up fine (you have to wait for the strings to settle, but that's true of every ukulele). The tuners might be a little less than awesome, but that's an easy change if it turns out to be necessary (they are pretty, but have the exposed gear and I'm thinking that might not be so great over the long haul, sealed tuners might be better, but as I said, easy fix). I SO can't wait to take it camping. The included gig bag is very nice, way better than the bags that have come with some of my other instruments. Is there (as some have posted) a rough spot where the top and sides were joined? Yes. Does it bother me? Not one bit. If it were where my arm rests it might, but it isn't so, meh. Action seems fine for me (good thing because I don't see an easy means to adjust it). Plays easily. I really have no complaints. And cute as a bug's ear.

Great fun uke, but change the strings.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this because I wanted to try a plastic uke and had read good reviews. I was at first disappointed because the uke wouldn't keep it's tune. I kept play it and eventually changed the strings. I put extra strings that came with my Enya X1 uke on this Bugs Gear. They sound very good and changing the string is so easy. I love the bridge on this thing. I have been taking this one to work and on the subway. It sounds good and if you lose it or it gets stolen, who cares? And it's fun! Buy this thing. If you do change strings, note that since the strings that come with the uke are thick, you may get some buzz in the C string if you go with thinner strings. If this happens, just put a bit of black decal (a sticker) in the grove on the nut. It will stop the buzz.

Nice for the price
Purchased for travel so I can leave my Flea at home. Neck is a bit narrow. The concert neck may be a little wider. I got the dark blue with a black fretboard. Action is fine if you stay in the top 6 or 7 frets. Action much better than the Waterman. Bought this for $32 shipped. Came double boxed with a gig bag. Has a slight buzz I need to track down. No regrets.

Great For Camping. Hard to See in the Dark.
It's built like a tank and perfect for the outdoors. My opinion, much better sounding than the Kala Waterman. I bought mine to take on a camping trip with my family. My only criticism is the lack of distinguishing colored fret markers on the fretboard. The ones included are just circular grooves cut into the fretboard itself. They're the same color as the fretboard so they don't stand out, making playing around a campfire a little tricky. But overall, a great plastic ukulele.

A Real Value with a High Coolness Factor
Decent Sound, Construction and cool design. Great Uke for the price. Good to have laying around the house without fear of it being destroyed.

I can dig it!
Perfect for a starter instrument! My nephew is going to lose his mind. Although plastic (which is plainly stated) it can certainly sing. Pleasant surprise to see how far instruments have come.

A real uke, not just for kids.
This uke is amazing for the price. Better than the Waterman. I expected something that looked and felt like a toy. Now, it does look a bit like a toy, but it is a solid, well built instrument that I plan on taking many places I would never want to take a wooden uke! Plus it comes with a pretty nice bag.
