Jeremywell Craftsman 54" Cut Riding Mower Deck Belt 196103 532196103 FITS POULAN Husqvarna

I bought this deck belt back in August 2019 but didn't install it until late March 2020. I mowed with it maybe half a dozen times before it failed.Upon inspection I found several places where part of the belt had shredded and split as you can see in the pictures.This was not due to any defects in my mower deck as I refurbished the deck in October 2019. I replaced the mandrels, pulleys, blades and thoroughly cleaned and re-painted the deck. I also properly installed the belt. I have always done my own maintenance on vehicles and equipment for over 30 years (I was a maintenance officer in the military so I know what I'm doing). This was simply a failure of an inferior product as my previous OEM belt lasted well over 5 years.Although this belt was considerably less expensive than an OEM belt, I feel it should have lasted for at least one season and it didn't even come close to that. It lasted about 2 months.Would absolutely NOT buy again.

The Kevlar material in the belt will last longer than rubber material, if used properly, but does not hold up well to constant abrasion as in damaged pulleys or idlers. should outlast my previous belt that lasted 15 years. Kevlar does not stretch as much as rubber so the belt will be tighter for a longer period as well

Paid a little more for this belt. My OEM lasted so many years. This one was a season and part of another.

Have not installed as of yet, The current belt was tore up from a bad pulley. This Jeremywell belt looks of good quality and will be put in service soon for the mowing season. If it has any issues the review will be adjusted.

Not only is it the correct belt but it is 1/3 the price of a belt that looks to be exactly the same belt at Lowe's. I'm so impressed I'm going to order another one handy just in case.
