If you are looking for authentic black bread from Germany, look no further! This reminds me of when I was a young girl living on a farm in Germany! It is dense, heavy and flavorful. Not like American breads which are very light and fluffy.

I was looking for some healthier less processed breads and heard a lot about sprouted rye breads and the like. I saw these and it got OK reviews so I thought I would try it. I definitely was expecting a more dense taste and certainly not as good as regular bread but I never could imagined it would taste this bad! It almost tastes like it's spoiled. The packaging was secure and it definitely has good shelf life but it just tastes absolutely awful. I have tasted breads before that seem like they weren't cooked all the way thru but these truly taste like they're rotten!! And as with all health food they are very expensive! I definitely do not recommend this bread! Stay away from it! There are rye breads and whole grain breads out there that are healthier you just have to read the labels and check the ingredients. This stuff YUCK!!

My tiny supermarket in a rural town carries just the basic American bread-not particularly healthy. I'd have to drive 100+ miles to find these breads in a larger town. So, I splurge on theses breads delivered to my front door. Sunflower is my favorite-nutty and crunchy. All are dense + have a distinct "sour" taste that I really enjoy. No sugar, no sweeteners, no preservatives. Makes great toast.

Bread itself is good, but package was just an envelope. Bread arrived squished and broken.

I was craving rye bread, its one of my favorite breads and i live in a smaller town so rye options are slim to none. Ordered this trio and it arrived next day which was super awesome. Started with the Rye toasted for my breakfast egg, cheese(swiss and sharp cheddar), avocado, red onion and tomato open face sandwich. First bite I was wowed! The texture is dense yet soft, I like the thinness of it and the flavor is sourish but not overly so. Its just all around excellent bread really made my breakfast!! and what makes it better the ingredient list isn't a mile long! Just Straight and to the point without added garbage for filler. I Have not tried the others yet going to do one loaf at a time. But I am pretty certain they are going to be just as delish and already know I will be ordering again when I need Rye bread!
