Been wanting a pair of solovairs since I found out they were the original manufacturer of Dcmartens, they fit perfectly, like any new boots they need braking in

I really wanted to love these boots. They didn't take much breaking in, look great and are very comfortable, but all that is moot when the sole splits at less than seven weeks old and only having been worn a few dozen times!?Very disappointing.Have contacted NPS through Amazon and requested a replacement - let's see how that goes. Hopefully just a bad one off that will be replaced. Will update review with the outcome....UPDATE: NPS were very helpful and fixed the split boot. They paid for postage both ways and repaired the boot at the factory, using the proper manufacturing process.All was well for for a while, however, the other boot has now split. Can I be bothered to return this one? No. These boots would be perfect if the quality was there, but they're just hassle now.

I followed the advice on the Solovair website over sizing and went down half a size and they are a perfect fit for me.Had a five day delivery window and they arrived in less than two days! :)Excellent quality footwear, it was like going back in time to the early 90's when this style of boot was made from quality materials and not out sourced to who knows where?As expected the leather is very stiff, but that will give over time once they are broken in and I reckon these boots will fit like a glove.

I bought these boots primarily as Solovair produce half sizes, unlike some of their rivals. The boots arrived promptly and are beautifully made, aside from one glitch. The left boot has an awkward seam on the inside of the tongue which becomes folded when putting the boot on and creating considerable discomfort if not fettled carefully with a finger (an awkward process). Aside from that annoyance, they proved to be comfortable right out of the box.

Wollte schon lange solche Stiefel haben. Trage sonst Gr. 39 oder 40 (Frauen), in 39 1/3 passen sie mir gut.Optisch sehr schön verarbeitet. Am Anfang wirken sie etwas steif, aber wenn man sie ein paar Minuten anhat werden sie durch die Wärme beim Tragen geschmeidiger.Alles in allem bisher sehr zufrieden, hoffentlich halten sie auch entsprechend lange.

Besser als Dr. Martens, auf den ersten Blick sind es viele kleine Details und das Leder, was wertiger erscheint.
