I am replacing a high quality Nike skort that apparently is not made anymore. This one is a lighter-weight material, short of standard bathing suit Lycra in the skirt. The shorts are a little heavier, mid-weight, sort of like lightweight cycling shorts. The whole thing is very stretchy, as one would expect. The waist comes to just under by belly button, which is exactly where I'd want it.I like the little zip pocket on the right leg (see photo), mostly for decoration, as I doubt I'd ever use it for anything of substance.. There is a little bit of a wrinkle in the back, just under the waist seam (see photo). There's also a small pucker or two on other seams. I'm guessing these are sewing defect, not that they all come like that. But it probably indicates overall quality of fabrication. The boy shorts underneath are indeed short, as you can see in the picture, but I have another pair of swim shorts that have these tight shorts underneath, and that pair is longer, and all they do is bunch up in my crotch anyway. So I think this length for the boy shorts underneath is a good length. I haven't worn them swimming yet, which is the reason I bought them, but here is my first impression out of the box.I did not measure my body before ordering. I am often between sizes, and just picked the larger of those two sizes, and these fit perfectly.

This is a nicely made and good quality swim skirt. BUT, it runs small. I ordered an XL knowing that Beach House runs small but even the XL was small on me. I don’t know if it’s the sewn in shorts or what, but it is very snug. I want to order an XXL, but they don’t make it. I probably will send back. I am 5’5” and 170 lbs.

I love these bottoms fit perfect , so flattering , zipper pocket is nice too , my favorite 5 star
