Having got hints at their connection in the first book, I was glad to see the built upon and what we get is a beautiful story about finding love when you least expect it.Kate is the type of girl who wants it all - the big, swept of her feet romance. But all she has ever managed to get was a ton of crummy dates and one six month long relationship that ended rather dramatically. Zander, on the other hand, is into casual sex, quick hook ups and no dating. But when these two meet at a bar one night, sparks fly... but a misunderstanding when the chivalrous Zander takes Kate home after a horrible incident at the bar results in the two of them “letting things go”. So when they happen to meet again, they get a second chance to see if the sparks are there.Of course, like all BJ’s novels, there are complications, a secret that will come back to bite one of them, and a while let of hot, steamy sex. And the updates we get about Mac and Daniel throughout the book - as well as the two bonus chapters - are fabulous!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Kate was so relatable - she wanted the fairytale and was no longer going to settle for anything less. I loved that about her! I loved that, though he initially hurt her feelings, she stuck to her guns regarding Zander and their blooming relationship. And what's not to love about Zan? What a gorgeous, sexy, sweetheart!
