A: I feel like it would be good for that and I bought it for a similar reason. I heard that the weight of the blanket brings a calming effect and that is what I was hoping for at night.  My only issue with the blanket was that I bought the 25lbs Queen size and it was much heavier than I expected it to be.  It ended up being too heavy for my wife and she wasn't interested in trying another one. If I did purchase another one I would probably go with a 15 lbs blanket.  All in all, I liked it and did find the weight comforting.
