Fun Science Stories
I've bought many science books and encyclopedias for my science-loving 3rd grader, and this one is by far his favorite. Lots of science subjects that a curious kid will find fascinating, plus fun and short comprehension exercises, mostly multiple choice answers. Maybe the reading level is a bit easy for a 4th grader. This book is definitely fun for grades 3-4. It's nothing like elementary school science curriculum - rather fun short stories related to science, that even adults can find interesting.

Hooked By the Title
My 3rd grader was hooked from the title âTrapped in Quicksandâ. I noticed that my daughter got excited when she read true stores and her reading was way better when she liked the topic. So, I have been on the hunt for books about true events and this books is perfect. My daughter was complaining in the beginning when I showed her another book. I said just look at it and read the 1st paragraph. She read the entire story and wanted to talk about itđ. We talked about quicksand way pass her bedtime. The next day she grabbed the book and said the next story was my bedtime story. I said ok, smiled and layed next toher while she read about Doctor Ants. Please get this book if your kid like true stories as well. I watched my daughter eyes light up when she explained to her dad what she was reading. I didnât give it a 5 yet because we havenât gone over the questions yet. We are just reading then stories. Over the weekend we will go back read the 1story again and answer the questions.

We got this book for my son to help him ...
We got this book for my son to help him stay focused throughout the summer. The stories keep him engaged and help him remember the story. We are working on comprehension so he'll be ready for 5th grade.
