She founded a California furniture shop in 1989 where she sold furnishings that boasted ‘the beauty of imperfection’, restoring furniture while still giving it a distressed, ‘imperfect’ finish.Shabby Chic is a luxurious paint specifically formulated to create a distressed or imperfect look where brush strokes are desirable. To achieve this look a thinner paint is preferred over a thicker paint. Bring vintage and ornate charm to your home with Shabby Chic chalk-based furniture paint! This paint is perfect for DIY crafters, interior designers, and homeowners who already adore the shabby chic style or are looking to incorporate it into their home. Whether you dream of perfectly distressed tables and antique mirror frames, or ornate vanities and cribs, Shabby Chic can do it all!EASY TO USEHave a new dresser that just looks a little too new? An old coffee table that could use some sprucing? Grab a can of Shabby Chic and get painting! Apply the second coat after 15 minutes, and after 1 hour, the paint will be touch dry. The piece will be safe to handle after 2 hours and fully set and dry after 3. To create a distressed look, use 2 contrasting colors and lightly scuff with moistened sandpaper or a stainless steel scouring pad.MULTIPLE SURFACESEnjoy beautiful results on wooden furniture and create stunning renovations on metal, plastic, stone, brick, or plaster. Use the paint to upcycle metal window frames, revive worn brick and stone, or decorate a hutch or writing desk. For best results, ensure the surface you are painting is clean and free of any oil or wax. Bare wooden surfaces should be sanded before painting.ADVANCE FORMULAOur chalk-based paint is entirely non-toxic and water-based to be safe for use in enclosed spaces and near children. Refurbish any piece of furniture and renovate any room. ## Features - INTERIOR DESIGN: The term ‘shabby chic’ boasts ‘the beauty of imperfection’, that’s what shabby chic is all about – restoring furniture while still giving it a distressed, ‘imperfect’ finish. - A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY: Great coverage saving you time and money.
