My bathroom gets extremely cold in the winter, so I just turn it on about an hour before I take a shower (by default the first setting is the the last one used, so mine is set to the highest temperature and a three hour timer) and it makes my bathroom bearable and a perfect warmth. And then by the time I get out of the shower, my towel is perfectly cozy, warm, but once again, not hot.
