This mesh is about 74 microns according to what I've read, , the grain size of many pigments can cause clogs in small detail airbrushed like in a certain state of the art airbrush that I have. I got these and a set of test tubes and some pipettes and found that meshing my paint gives me more even results! I also found that neaon pigments sunk in water but sat on top of this mesh... Strong neon (blacklight) reactive pigment can get expensive, but pipette it out, creme with a base, thin, pipette to airbrush and wow! I'm not sure mesh this fine does much for most folks, maybe as a coffee filter, but it's been a great asset for my detail paint. I've even put it on top of a .13 gravity feed brush and it catches chunks but is just right to flow properly thinned paint through it. It loses one star for being wrinkled as crap... It made it a tad hard to get straight cuts, but again, for my purposes it was excellent.
