Nutramax Denosyl Liver & Brain Supplement for Medium Dogs, Tablets, 30ct

Our schnauzer Fred is just turning 14. Over a year ago our vet told us his kidneys and liver were diminishing and he was getting confused using the doggie door. Nutramax Denosyl was recommended and for the last 1-1/2 years has been acting like a 5 year old. We never expected such a turnaround including mental clarity - Wow! - Wow! - Wow!

At my 12 yr old dog's annual vet visit in January his ALT liver levels were elevated about 10 points higher than the high on the acceptable scale. It was the only value that was elevated, so my vet suggested giving Scout this supplement for a month and retest. In a month's time his value was brought back down into the acceptable level, for a total drop of about 13 points. It may have resolved itself on it's own of course, but I feel like this helped. It was inexpensive enough to try. It worked so I'm pleased with it. He's off it now and feeling fine!

We had been giving this to one of our dogs daily, along with Marin for Small to Medium Dogs (30 Tablets) as directed by our vet. The combination has worked well, according to the blood tests, for his liver function. By ordering from Amazon, I can avoid both the 20-minute drive to the vet's office to pick up the medication, and save about 40% in the process. I will note that this medication is supposed to be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. And our dog does not like to just swallow these pills. Our solution is that we take one of these and stuff it into a Bil-Jac Liver Treats - 10 oz treat right before bed every day, and leave it in an easily-accessible spot in our bedroom. Then, during the middle-of-the-night call of nature, we give our dog the tasty morsel which he downs immediately - and falls immediately back to sleep. Just our little tip about one way to get these administered well! We used to use Greenies Pill Pockets, Beef, 7.9 oz, for Capsules but found that our guy likes the Bil-Jac better (and it's less expensive to boot!)

I received this order in 2 days. This was a special for only $40.39 free postage for 3 mos. supply for 225mg. The 3 mos. fits just within the expiration date. I paid $82.00 for 30 day supply at vet's and then $40.00 plus off the net for 30 and all the same. I don't know how beneficial for my dog as she has only been on 2 mos. but her liver count elevated some and the vet said he has seen incredible results with this for dogs with stressed and diseased livers. Other reviews have testified to results.Buy only individually wrapped pill as exposure to air decreases effectiveness each time opening a lid on a bottle. I have found giving to her in peanut butter works well.

At the recommendation of my vet, I tried this supplement for my 22 lb. geriatric dog who lost his eyesight over the last several years. The little guy's "mapping" in his brain of our home never was excellent, but he found his way around with some bumping into things along the way... then it got worse to where he couldn't find his way on his own. It's like the "mapping" was gone. The little guy wasn't able to get to the water bowl, the back door, or anywhere else on his own. A few weeks after giving him this supplement, he was able to get around as good as before. What a relief! I am this product's #1 fan!

My dog has elevated liver values. The Vet put her on Denamirin Advanced. When I called the Vet for a refill they told me they were out and didn’t know when they would get it in. They told me to buy Denosyl it was the same ingredients. I ordered it from Amazon. I put it in a pill pocket and my dog takes it with no problem. I was paying $55.00 at the Vet for Denamirin Advanced. I am so happy to be able to buy this here for half the price. I am glad the Vet was out or I would have never known about this generic Denamirin.

My 11.5 year old Cairn Terrier is now suffering from liver disease. We have done everything we can to get his levels down, including this medication. Unfortunately nothing is working. I will say though that I think this has bought us time and that is priceless. I regret nothing. I would do it again and again. Highly recommended!

This product made a huge difference for my dog. He has canine demensia. He is 15 years old and was shaking all the time, acting like he didn't know where he was and not responding to me or commands as if he forgot who I was or what the words meant. I would say his symptoms have decreased by about 75%. He is much better now. I briefly questioned as to if it was helping him and quit giving it to him. After 2 days there was a drastic decline in his behavior which went away again after getting him back on it. I was skeptical of this product but absolutely recommend it.

The size of the tablet is much more digestible for my Westie to swallow. The price is better than getting these supplements from the Vet.
