Some people don’t even believe that fish could come out of dirt but it’s true. These eggs dry out in the wild to nothing wants to get wet again at least moist they start to develop this is a very fun kit good for fish keepers. It’s very very fun to hatch fish out of this and I think it’s worth the price because once you officially grow a breeding pair you can restart the cycle and buy your own Pete Moss and keep on doing the cycle to very fun peacekeeping thing because these only live for a year sadly ### ⭐ Didn't Hatch *by on Reviewed in the United States January 7, 2026* I think the product is as advertised. The eggs were supposed to hatch about 2 months after they were ordered, which is after the 30 day return window. The instructions mention closing the lid so the peat stays moist. I closed the lid well, but the peat dried anyway (over 2 months) and most of the eggs died. The peat needs to be moistened. I tried hatching the eggs and I dont think any hatched. This would have been interesting if it worked. Well, so far one of them has hatched weeks before the actual hatch date, and there are over 12 babies! The fairyshrimp capsules that came with the kit didn't hatch for me, but we already had a brineshrimp hatchery set up, so the baby killifish have had enough to eat. The killifish are about two weeks old now and going strong.
