Perfect Reacher for the Car
Following a hip replacement, I needed a Reacher for my car. (I already had one in each room of the house.) This one is a perfect size and very useful whenever something is dropped, like car keys, or to reach something in the car trunk. The 6-month restriction of not bending more than 90 degrees after surgery is limiting, and this 27.5" Reacher has been like a faithful friend-in-need. It will be in my car even after the restriction is over because I have found it to be so very useful. I love it!

I have purchased numerous reachers and have been disappointed time and time again. The Etac product is so simple in design and function it just does every thing right. The reacher sells itself beyond the fact it is priced better than the others out there. I hope the manufacture of the Etac reacher reads this as a shorter version is on my wish list.

We have a big mailbox, and this enables my wife to reach and grab the mail.

different design than the others
My wife uses this product and it does come in handy because of the short reach capability. Most of these contraptutations aretoo long to be practical for everyday useage.

It QUIT WORKING!
I like the design of this reacher, and used it a few times, mostly to pick up dog toys off the floor. One day it just quit closing when I pressed the trigger. Since there is no way to get at the inner mechanism, there is no way to find out why it doesn't work. It just doesn't. Since it has no other redeeming value or purpose, it's being returned for a refund. Darn!

Cheap
This item is very cheaply made. Bought it to help me reach grocery items on the top shelf. If the item is the least bit heavy or is made of glass it doesn't work. I don't carry it with me anymore, just ask for help.

Favorite Reacher
I have several different style reachers. This one is my favorite. I keep it in the kitchen where it gets used from picking big and little items off the floor, to lifting things down from a shelf (carefully, of course). I am a paraphalegic, so I know my grabbers!! :)

Well designed and durable
Etac Aktiv Reacher 27.5 make it easy to handle most grabbing and reaching needs. Very well designed and extremely well made and durable---I have had others of these for several years
