Does this sandal have a Vibrant sole?

The sole of this sandal is very rugged and will allow you to walk on the roughest, most uneven of surfaces with confidence. It's pretty much the same sole you'd find on a hiking shoe.I have 3 pair of Keen footwear. I wear them all day in and around the water. They are durable and protect your feet better than any other sandal I've owned. I can't recommend them highly enough.

How are these compared to Merrell hiking shoes for urban walks in Europe?

Merrell’s are very good. I have not bought any for a long time. Once I started buying Keens, I haven’t tried anything else - it’s been about 15 years now. I liked the Merrels, but never bought them again after trying the Keens. If you’re getting Keens, make sure they fit you comfortably - the sizes when you buy online aren’t always consistent - if you’re buying online try them. The last pair I bought was a tight - it didn't feel like 11.5 M. They will Stretch with time but they’ll never be as good those that fit right the first time you wear them.

whats the difference between a 10.5 and 10.5D(M)?

To my knowledge there is no difference. They come in a medium men's width.
