I’m looking to make jicama taco shells and jicamas are about 5 inches wide. This says it’s 5.5 inches but what is just the blade? Thank you!

Cutting space is 4 in wide. At a diagonal the blade is 4.5 in. Long.

I removed the blade dial and now can't get it back in!! Any help ??

Align the word OUT on the dial with the notch on the top of the blade unit. Blade unit should go back in, and click in place.

What is the blade width?

4 1/2 ". I like this mandoline better than any of the others I have owned. It is adjustable and chops also with just a twist of the knob. You have you be careful of the blade....it is very sharp. You can thin-slice a ripe tomato. But it comes with a blade protector which I recommend you use each time you store it. I recommend this slicer.

The blade has dulled. How do you sharpen or replace it?

I have never heard of a mandoline with a replaceable blade; mine is still quite sharp after years of use.
