Heavy-duty wire shelving in a useful narrow size
I own several wire rack shelving units already, and this one is every bit as sturdy as some of my larger commercial-style shelving. The narrower 18" width makes it especially useful for filling gaps or extending existing storage setups where a full-size rack would be too bulky. In my case, Iโm actually using it as a wardrobe extension at the end of a larger 72" closet organization unit. The 18" shelf depth lines up perfectly with the adjacent shelving, and itโs been great for storing folded pants and other clothing while still fitting into a fairly tight space. What immediately stood out to me compared to cheaper โconsumer gradeโ wire shelving is the construction. This uses full-size 1" posts instead of the thinner 3/4" legs that a lot of lighter-duty shelving uses, and it makes a noticeable difference in stability. The wire gauge on the shelves themselves is also thicker and doesnโt flex the way cheaper shelves tend to. Mine feels extremely stable once assembled. I actually have it configured in a less-than-ideal setup with the first shelf mounted roughly 30" off the ground so I can slide a hamper underneath, and even arranged that way thereโs still no rocking or wobble. Assembly was straightforward if youโve worked with wire shelving before. Standard adjustable shelf spacing, standard clip system, no surprises. I do recommend using a rubber mallet to fully seat the shelves onto the collars. I would avoid using a bare metal hammer unless you buffer the impact with a board or similar protection. The only noticeable difference compared to some of my other shelving units is the chrome finish. Itโs slightly duller and a bit rougher to the touch than some more polished commercial racks I own. Functionally though, it hasnโt mattered at all. If this were in a kitchen or another environment requiring constant wipe-down cleaning, I might care more, but for closet, garage, basement, or storage use itโs perfectly fine. Iโm only storing maybe 15 pounds on it currently because of the way Iโm using it, but based on the construction Iโd trust it with significantly heavier loads without concern. Iโve seen no shelf bowing or flexing whatsoever. It comes with leveling feet, which work well enough, though I do kind of wish casters had been included as an option. Overall, this feels much closer to restaurant-supply-grade shelving than the flimsier consumer racks sold in a lot of big box stores. If you need a narrow but genuinely sturdy wire shelving unit, this is a very solid buy.

These shelves are great for 4-foot light fixture used for growing veggies indoors
I bought these shelves for 4-foot 8-tube grow lights that I use to grow veggies indoors. Since 4-foot shelves don't have 48" between the outer posts, it is necessary to have a 5-foot shelf so that an 8-tube fixture will fit inside the posts. For my purposes to use them with 8-tube 4-foot light fixtures, they are perfect. They also allow for more spacing between flats for more air flow. I also like that the shelves are not solid and don't collect dust or plant debris. This means less cleaning for me. If used for storage, the shelves are extremely strong and stable and would hold anything you might put on them. The wheels are large and will also withstand a substantial amount of weight. Using them as plant grow shelves, my flats easily weigh at least 20 pounds each when watered and I have 6 flats plus two 8-tube grow lights on them. This has to be over 150 pounds on them and they still move easily on the wheels so I can move the unit to vacuum. The shelves are extremely sturdy and very easy to put together. Shelf spacing is very easy to adjust and the wheels make it very easy to move the unit when cleaning. I also very much like that the shelves aren't solid. They don't collect dust or plant debris and are so much easier to clean. I also very much like that the shelf spacing is adjustable, and spacing between shelves can be easily changed when the needs change. I should also mention that it helps to use a rubber hammer to get the parts securely together. This is especially important when installing the wheels. If they aren't completely into the posts, they will not be as strong. As space permits, I will likely buy more of these shelved. These shelves are something that I would highly recommend whether you use them as plant grow shelves or storage. UPDATE 10/21/20: At this point in time, I have 3 of these shelving units in this size. If you are using these shelves for growing plants and/or seedlings, this update may be helpful for you. For my purposes, I use 3 of the shelves with one stored at the very bottom. This leaves me with two levels for growing larger plants. I use bussing tubs to grow crops of larger veggies like kale, Swiss chard, collard greens and a few others. The tubs have a series of hole drilled on the bottom and I use the appropriate sized cookie sheet to catch water. The shelves on this unit will hold 3 2/3 sheet pans and allow for spreading of the plants. Having 2 shelves for placement of plants allows for plants that grow a bit over 24 inches. I have a couple different sizes of these shelves and each serves a purpose for different plants at different sizes. I very much like that shelf spacing can easily be adjusted as needs change and the wheels work easily no matter how much weight is on the shelves. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Good strong rack
Size is perfect for our garage. Instructions and assembly are very straightforward. Shelving and columns are thick enough to hold stated weight per shelf. No missing parts but also included an extra shelf clip. Easy to wipe down and clean if needed. We have a few of these already and are just expanding. Would recommend!

Love these shelves! Exactly what I needed.
I am an 82-yr-old woman who was able to assemble these shelves by myself. The leveling feet allowed me to put it in my laundry room with a sloping floor without fear of it tipping over or rolling forward There were no missing parts and actually some extra parts that I didn't use. They are very sturdy and I put my heavier laundry soaps, etc on bottom shelf for stability. The hardest part aside from unpacking was getting the shelves even since I didn't notice that until after it was fully assembled but a few adjustments were all that was needed. I would highly advise making sure they are even before using the rubber mallet!

Good enough
Sturdy enough for my needs. Finish is not top quality, so over time, I expect some rust to form. Industrial racks similar to this cost 2x this amount and aluminum are 4x the cost, so choose according to your need and wallet. Instructions are lacking details, which made my first attempt at putting one together 2 hours. The plastic pieces need to be alligned upward and THEY DO NOT SNAP TOGERGER like instructions indicate when placing on the metal poles. Place them on the pole where needed, then carefully place the shelf over the plastic pieces and pound down with a rubber mallet. No mention of using a mallet in the paper instructions. I bought 3, so the other two only took 20 min each. Overall I'm pleased. Mind the weight limits of each shelf. Especially if using the caster wheels.

Very sturdy, easy to assemble, holds a lot!
This shelving unit is amazing. I was originally looking for wall mounted shelves, but realized I needed something that could withstand a lot of weight. My kitchen pantry shelves are narrow and weโre starting to bow. So we converted a hall closet just steps from the kitchen. None of the big box stores carried the size I needed (36W, 24D). I was ecstatic when I found it on Amazon. Could not be happier and no worry of collapsing.
