Brrrrr
I liked the flow of her writing that made the story easy to follow. Having spent a few years in Northern New England I enjoyed her references to towns and language. I was so glad for this easy flow because I had just finished a book by another Maine writer...something about a "Wreck" of Christmas in which there was nothing but continuing conversation by one group and another so that I felt like I had no time to take a breath. This was a much nicer read. The murder and the mystery well told. I went on to read others of her books but please keep me away from the constant babble.

Enjoyable New England Mystery
I really enjoyed this book and finding a new mystery series set in New England. Some other reviewers complained about the frequent time/temperature updates from the car, but I liked those because they gave me a feel for the setting that I could relate to. I check the clock/temp in my vehicle whenever I get in, so that detail was helpful to me in relating to the main character and the setting. Good story with a twist, and I liked this book enough that I promptly ordered the next 2 in the series for my kindle and read both of them too. I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

Good first effort
This is a first book for this author. It held my attention. The location seems real. I think the protagonist's personality should be a little better drawn. He seems to have few emotions and an obsession with the time of day. The author seems to pay more attention to minutiae than to characterization. I will definitely buy the next in the series to see if it goes a little more smoothly, as this seemed to jump from character to character more than I like in a book.I would prefer a little more depth of character for the "good guys" and a little less for the villains. Having said all that, I reiterate that it held my attention, and it is worthwhile to buy another from this author.

Not very good
Since this book was $2.99 on Kindle, guess you get what you pay for. The plot could have made for a decent book, if this writer was more gifted, or had an editor who could convince him to make some key changes:Lots of extraneous detail that always felt like filler. Best example: the "cut and paste" of contents of a travel brochure in hotel lobby. Also, although it had no bearing on the story, there were repeated mentions of time and temp. The constant jumping of point of view and numerous characters didn't work for me. Also, tho I was actually on air talent @ college radio station, I found the radio/music stuff very gimmicky.

Excellent story, poor format makes it painful to read.
I loved the story but the format for my kindle is horrible. Makes it a true labor to actually read the story.

a great new author
If you like a mystery that grabs you from the beginning, this is the story for you. It moves right along and the more you read the harder it is to put down. I look forward to the next book.

Gripping!
I've read a lot of crime thrillers and I must admit this was different in its approach. The characters were well developed and intriguing. I would definitely recommend this book!
