This is very cute and functional! I love the pattern that I picked, and with the hood on I feel like I’m a ghost floating around in the rain. It’s been waterproof for my shorter times outdoors, but I haven’t tested it over 45 minutes of rain. It is quite large which is perfect for if you have a backpack or want to carry things inside your poncho. I am 5’3 and it goes past my knees. It is very lightweight. I usually forget I have it on unless something heavy is in the front pocket. If you have something heavy in the pocket it pulls forward on your neck a little bit. The top of the hood goes over the hairline and shields your eyes which I thought was a nice detail! The material seems to be good and has dried relatively quickly. It did come smelling quite artificial but that went away after being in the rain for a while.

Great poncho. Unlike many its a little taller making it a good fit shorter and taller users. Pretty rare in our experience my husband is about 7 inches taller than I am and we can almost never by the same brand its either dragging on me or way to short on him. We replaced his last one when hitting the theme parks in May and more than half his shorts were soaked each time he used it. It also miraculously fits back in its carry bag. We have another brand with zipper bags and all of them ended up with the zippers ripped out after the kids couldn't get them to fit back in the case after initial unpacking. This is so much better. Love the drawstrings not he hood, overall just a great purchase. The price is also really reasonable and it keeps from purchasing overprices theme park or event disposable / Semi disposable that rip and are too light wait, etc.

The short review is that it is water resistant, but not waterproof. The longer review is that I used this pancho on the Camino de Santiago. It drizzled continuously for hours on end during my walk. I had a hiking shirt and backpack underneath no jacket because it wasn’t cold. My shirt got moist in the areas that had contact with the pancho. It wasn’t drenched, but as I said I was only dealing with constant drizzle and not torrential rain. The pancho has a pouch in front. As an experiment during my walk I put a completely dry napkin in the pouch and about 3 hours later when I stopped for coffee I checked the napkin. It was moist but not dripping wet. I was unable to squeeze any water off of it. So it had similar moisture accumulation as my shirt I was wearing. I would say it’s like an umbrella, it keeps the drops from penetrating, but if you touch the underside of an umbrella you will definitely feel the moisture.

I used this in Thailand and never got wet in absolute downpours. I can't speak to it's longevity but in the first month, it was worth it's weight in gold. I always have a ton of expensive camera equipment with me and this poncho kept it all safe and dry. It was big enough to fully cover me and my backpack full of equipment.It was also $21!! That was a fifth of the price of other name brand ponchos that had poor reviews. (Read the reviews of this poncho. Other people liked it as much as I did and they are really funny about it.)It collapses nicely and I carried in a side pocket of my bag.Thailand is steaming hot and this wasn't that uncomfortable. I usually walked miles in it and I wasn't that much hotter even though it did make it hotter to have it on.I did not rip it at any point. The material was durable but thin.

PERFECT FOR DISNEY. Covers me and the backpack, stayed completely dry. I liked the zip in the front to help get it on. The material is durable and can be worn again and again. I will use this for years to come. I am 5'5 and it went down to my shins. Super quick drying!

Keeps water off you, its a poncho so if it a windy rainy day expect to be holding the sides down and the hood covering out of the way to see where you’re going. Remember its one size fits most.
