I don’t listen to “other the air” radio much - too many commercials. Almost everything i ever listen to is streamed over the phone. That said, i want the option and was worried based on various reviews is that its basically decorative and reception would be terrible. I had already set up “favorite channels” on the truck for local OTA [over the air] radio stations with the long wire antenna that came with the truck. All those still come in just fine with this. Same as they ever did. so its good, and more appealing to me than a long wire antenna you have to take off before a car wash. val

I had used the “Stubby” brand antenna to replace the OEM long mast on a 2017 & 2020 Ford F150. It was fine for the car wash issue, but it was extremely poor at picking up AM/FM stations. I primarily listen to satellite radio and was primarily focused on an antenna that looked good and wouldn’t bend or break in the car wash. For that purpose it was fine. I used it for 6 years and it is still in perfect shape. I recently got a 2023 GMC Sierra that also had the long mast AM/FM antenna. The “Stubby” brand is apparently not available for this vehicle so I began searching for another brand. After reading a lot of reviews about reception, durability, and finish, I decided to take a chance on this short antenna. It’s slightly longer than my old “stubby” and unlike the stubby it does have some flex but has held up well in the car wash and does not bend at 80 mph highway speeds. It also picks up a full “dial” of FM stations. There is no comparing it to the “stubby” brand I had before which picked up hardly any FM stations. I haven’t actually tried AM stations for reception. If you are looking to replace your OEM AM/FM long mast antenna and want one that actually works as an antenna should, then this is the one that I found to address the car wash breakage issue yet maintain good FM reception.

Works and looks great on 2007 GMC sierra truck. I was able to pick up so many FM radio channels.

Antenna is low profile, goes on tight AND fits the 2025 sierra 1500’s with great reception. Issue i had with all the other “universal” antennas was that they came with replacment threads to fit all vehicles but the 2025’s was NOT removable. 10/10 for this one.

Get the same reception my original antenna got, looks great on the truck, and doesn’t get in the way when I’m cleaning my windshield anymore.

Worked on my 2019 Sierra SLE (new body style), wasn't sure if I needed an adapter or not. Website wasn't overly helpful in that regard. Installed quickly, just unscrew your old one with a wrench and screw this one in. Radio seems to work fine but time will tell for the reception distance.
