I throw away rather than clean the brush and use a quality brush for final coat which I do clean. **Q: can these be used for oil based paint? or just for water based paint?** A: Yes. But as for any brush on an oil based product, it is best to dilute the paint with mineral spirits first to minimize brush marks. **Q: What is the % of polyester/nylon filaments?** A: Not on packaging or website so I don't know. You can email their support and maybe they will tell you. Sorry I can't help more.
