easy peasy
I just needed the springy part, but purchased the set because it was the same price as the spring only. Easy fix to a 40+ yo dryer ! Arrived quickly.

Quality direct replacement for 45 yr old Kenmore gas dryer.
Exact replacement for 45 yr old Kenmore gas dryer. Previous replacement had plastic activation arm which worked for several years, then broke. This unit has spring steel trigger like original and mounting was simpler than plastic type. A happy camper.

Almost exact replacement switch.
Worked fro my old Kenmore dryer. I did have to cut to wires and use the larger replacement terminals that came with the switch. Last switch made it 15 years.

Works with other screws
The plastic lever on the dryer door switch of my aging Kenmore dryer broke, so I bought this as a replacement. Neither my old screws nor the screws enclosed in this package were long enough to secure the new switch style. Hence, I went to my local hardware store and purchased two 1.5" self tapping screws. Honestly, 1.25" screws would have been better, but 1.5" worked. Though the additional loose screws only cost about twenty cents at my hardware store, it would have saved me much frustration to have had them from the start. So, if you are in a hurry to repair your dryer, either order some 1.25" to 1.5" screws also, or just take your old screws to a hardware store while waiting on your Amazon shipment and purchase two single screws 0.25" longer than your old ones. Alternatively, I have read of some people taking the new lever off this switch and placing it over the level of the old switch. That might allow you to use either the enclosed screws or your old screws. Regardless, my dryer is working good as new now.
