A Bloody Kingdom (Ruthless People Book 4)

Excellente series but the end….
Hear me out. I read all four books over the weekend. Yes, they were that good. I loved how this was sooo different than any other mafia book. I didnt like the ending though… (spoiler ahead) I understand why it ended like that but it’s not what I wanted. Still don’t know what happened to Neal and his family, it doesn’t do justice to his story. I did love how Melody was just straight badass! I feel sad because the first three books were SO GOOD that the ending was just disappointing even if they get a hea after all. Don’t get me wrong, I still strongly believe you should read, you might like the ending after all, some people did.

When It Comes Down To iI. Who Will Be Left Standing?
I have just finished reading this and I have no words for what this book.... this series has meant to me. As my first mafia book Ruthless People stole my heart and made it cold. It's funny how an author causes you to justify all the bad things their characters do with just words. To everyone I recommend this series to I describe Mel as one thing.... Bad.Ass. She is, but she's so much more. I loved her, hated her, and loved her again throughout this book. She made me think differently. Made me want to protect, train, and love my future children the way she does her's.Liam? Well I tend to always fall in love with the hero of the book. But Liam isn't quite a hero is he? He isn't a villain either. He's a do what needs to be done kind of guy who loves his family fiercely and doesn't apologize for anything that is done.Mina, Evelyn, Cora, Declan, and Neal and let's not forget Sedric... there's a special place in my heart for all of you.Ethan Dona, and Wyatt I REALLY hope we get to see what becomes of you. Maybe separately but I really hope we do.I have never been so satisfied and upset with an ending of a book ever (and I have read A LOT of books). But I'm oddly happy with the way it ended. There are books you can go back and re-read and there are books you can't. The Ruthless People series isn't a series you can go back and re-read. There isn't a part of this book you can forget. There is too much heartbreak to re-read these. But these are books that will stay with you forever. They're books that you NEVER forget. They're books that you pass out to EVERYONE just so they can see the genius, just so someone you love doesn't miss out on something as great as this.Thank you Miss McAvoy. Thank you for creating this greatness. There are no other words to rightly sing your praises.PS PLEASE GIVE US ANOTHER SERIESPSS I adored the family tree at the beginning.

Just when you think they had reached the epitome of ruthlessness, the Callahans set you straight once again!
Each book in the Ruthless People series is aptly titled. This is a series where the further I get into it, the more I find myself torn between my love of the characters and being horrified at the lengths they are willing to maintain control and power. The constant threats and the source from which they come both astound me and almost take me to a certain level of disbelief. I have to give respect to Ms. McAvoy since she has me continually accepting each twist and turn as they surface. The antagonists responsible for the latest upheaval to the Callahan family represent the biggest threat yet. I didn’t see it coming and the consequences of having met them will shatter the Callahans regardless of who wins this war.Undeterred by the costs of the power and destruction, both sides continue to wreak havoc on the town that has been promised the opposite. Becoming parents hasn’t mellowed neither Melody nor Liam’s ferocity, if anything it has only ramped it up another notch. It’s good that overtime, their love for each other has deepened and provided a welcome balance to the violence they immerse themselves in.My ability to continue to feel empathy for Melody and Liam is a testament to the calibre of Ms McAvoy’s storytelling ability. It will be interesting to see how the next generations step up to meet the non-stop threats showered upon their families. What has already been demonstrated is that they are unquestionably their parent’s children. I can’t wait to read Children of the Vice!

Wow
After reading the first 3 books in this series I was iffy on reading this one due to a couple of stupid reviews saying that this book didn't live up to the others blah blah, I guess everyone has their own opinions . But in my eyes, this book was tied with the 1st book as my favorite in the whole series . You can't stop at American savages, read this book ! Some people read books expecting perfect happy endings with them riding off into the sunset with rainbows &butterflies, and to be honest endings like those make me sick, especially when u see how savagely they lived their life and how much they loved it . You were warned in the bio of the 1st book ruthless people that there wasn't going to be a happy ending like that . Although, in my view there couldn't have been a better happy ending . This mafia romance series has ruined all other books for me, never again will I read a book love it as much as these, no book will ever come close . J.J. McAvoy, you are a genius! This book brings out all of your emotions, as if you were right along side Liam and Mel, fighting through hell with them. After reading all 4 books, this has definitely opened my eyes and made me see clearer. #1 best author on my list, make her yours too, starting with Ruthless people.

HEA don’t exist in reality
Bloody Melody & The Mad Hatter Callahan. There is no happily ever after for the wicked, and yet Mel and Liam have seemed to have forgotten this while the world crumbled amongst their feet.I’ll be honest, I believe book 3 was a perfect ending. I was hesitant to even read book 4 because most authors BUTCHER it trying to make it something that it’s not. THey push for a perfect fairytale, or they kill off someone in a horrific way. This book did justice to Mel & Liam. Although I am a bit of a Masochist I would have preferred Mel didn’t spill the beans… It was still a great way to end. There are no perfect world’s… even in books. And A Bloody Kingdom reinforced that narrative.

The best for the last
Ms. JJ McAvoy this was definitely heartbreaking in so many ways. The fact that your writing made me cry while in the public transit and it was so sad that I couldn't bring myself to go any further and fell asleep crying.. You are amazing.. I loved every plot every twist every lie.I love Liam #sexhair #madhatter Callahan and loved #BloodyMelody every good person has bad in em just that we think we are good.I would recommend this book to all. You are not going to be disappointed. I read all 4 books back to back and now I will move to the Children of Vice .

Wow!!! I didn’t see that coming.
I’ll be honest and say, I couldn’t see much of a story to continue on for Liam and Melody BUT how wrong was I and how happy I am. Well I’m not because it feels like the end (without knowing yet what the voice of children will bring).I cried at the ending because I didn’t want them to end, didn’t want their love to end and maybe I wanted a little more of happier situation for them but knowing them, this would be the only closure they would get in their lives, with the hope the truth can come out somewhere for them all.Thank you JJ for your brilliant writing and to have something so refreshing as a woman as strong and as bad ass as she was and not just playing damsel in distress. That’s what drawn me into your books the most.. I love my Mafia but I felt this was so needed.Sign me up for some of this please!
