I like how this espresso maker warms up quickly. I’ve been cutting some Keurig pods open and using that ground coffee. It’s just the right amount , when tamped down.Keep in mind that the metal device that holds the ground coffee (I’m sure there is a word for it) must be pushed all the way to the right until you feel the metal stop. The 2nd time I used this espresso maker, I only barely had it seated and it popped out, broke my cup and made a great mess in my kitchen. My fault, I know. Get the coffee ground holder thing seated properly.

THIS IS A VERY POORLY MADE MACHINE.1. It is very light and unstable. When you try to lock the portafilter in place the whole machine tips over and slides around2. The Portafilter DOES NOT LOCK IN PLACE. It seems to be a defect or design flaw but you really have to put a lot of pressure to try and get the portafilter in place. This is really impossible due to the issue above3. The portafilter is CHEAP. The handle is plastic and putting any decent amount of pressure on the handle to try and lock it makes it feel like it is about to snap4. Parts of the portafilter are plastic and look like they will break in a short amount of time.5. There is no locking ring or mechanism to hold the portafilter basket in place. When you try to bang out the puck the WHOLE basket comes flying out of the portafilter6. The basket itself has a bad design. The bottom of the basket has a single whole creating a space that can not be cleaned between the filter of the basket and the bottom where the espresso flows into the bottom of the portafilter (see picture)7. The PLASTIC scoop/tamper that comes with the unit is a JOKE. It's plastic so it feels like it can break at any moment8. The tamper does NOT FIT into the basket properly and leaves a large gap around the edge of the basket (see picture)9. The steam wand control knob I found DIFFICULT to use, the settings do not seem to affect the steam amount10. Using the hot water setting is USELESS. The water pulses out at high pressure and splashes everywhere, as opposed to a steady stream of water that fills a cupIn summary, I wish Amazon had a ZERO star rating. I would not recommend this machine based on my experience. I gave this unit time to see if it was me or the machine. I tried my best to make this machine work for me. Unfortunately, I passed the return window doing everything I could to make the best of this machine so now I am stuck with it. I refuse to give it away or even pass it to someone else it is such a bad machine. I would not want the negative karma to come back and get me for knowingly giving this bad of a machine to someone.

This is my first model for this brand as my old one finally died after about 2 years of problem free continuous use. I really like the new model as it can make 2 cups instead of the 1 and the display and control buttons are large and easy to read. I also like the see through window on the back of the machine so you can more easily see how full the water reservoir is. The machine makes the coffee really good. And the machine is easy to use. Good quality at a good price.

This is a pretty great starter machine. Surprisingly even distribution from the group head, consistent shot sizes and temperature control. The pressure gauge has no real readings, only has a region labeled "espresso" so I have no idea what the real pressure is.I get the impression (or hope) they put quality where it matters like the pump and controls and not the accessory items like the drip tray (which is fine btw) and the nonfunctional parts of the body.I've found you can put about any grind size in the included pressurized filter basket to make fine shots. I added a single wall "naked" portafilter to this unit and was able to dial it in for stronger shots.You do have to wait about 30 seconds or so before brewing again after using the steam, but that hasn't been a big issue for me.There are quite a few reviews here about quality problems that almost scared me out of trying this, maybe they went though a rough patch in manufacturing 🤷‍♂️.

Update 1.5 years in: the frother has entirely stopped working. It makes chugging sounds but almost nothing comes from the wand. I’ve ensured the nozzle thing is clear. Also the handle for the funnel broke off entirely about 3 months ago, and a new one is like $25. Pretty crazy price for a machine that was like $130. Now the thing is broken and I can’t find another brand that isn’t either crazy expensive or has just horrible reviews. Maybe they’re only meant to last under two years? Either way, it sucks and I’m sad.Update after replacement: Works way better. The espresso looks better and overall just functions better. Locks into place more easily. Hopefully we’re good now! But don’t use it if the thing doesn’t lock! It WILL fly out at a high speed and hot water will keep coming out as it does.Original review: So my funnel never went into the full lock position, and I figured maybe it was fine anyway. I used it for two weeks no problem. Then today the funnel flew off of the machine! Got coffee grounds everywhere. Thankfully I didn’t get hurt and was able to turn off the machine quickly. But Jesus. Hoping the replacement locks correctly. Sigh.

The machine makes great coffee with a few easy steps. Coffee comes out tasting amazing and the whole process was quite and efficient. Love it!

(1) funnel very hard to twist & lock - {I’m an espresso machine veteran } Took full body strength to lock in place . (2) takes couple tries to get machine to pressurize & brew . (3) flavor is just mediocre. This was a replacement for my beloved Italian made machine. Was trying to save some coins . Big mistake. Flavor doesn’t compare . Retuning. I’m sad . I really wanted to love it ☹️.

I really like this espresso machine , makes it easy to clean only one piece to clean , i have just one little issue i think it uses too much water than i'm drinking because i'm continually feeling it up is that possible ? maybe in the process of making bubbles i'm losing some water somewhere? however it's fast in making the coffee and thats what i was looking for , thank you i like it why the 5 stars rating
