Hydro Flask 12 oz Wide Mouth Bottle with Flex Sip Lid Laguna

At first I was so excited, it looks great and it seals great, reviews rating long term heat retention !But in reality, I make myself a latte in the morning, and in hour and half it’s cold. While the milk is not boiling when steamed it still should not be cold within an hour.Cheap £15 cup managed 3 hours of reasonable heat retention.If I make a tea into the cup, it lasts hot maybe 2 hours and then by 3 hours it is nearly cold.I’m not sure if my cup is just faulty or not but it does not live to the price tag and I do not want to buy another one just to be disappointed again.For me waste of money, look elsewhere.

Am using this for my takeaway coffee rather than the one time use ones. As I'm drinking my coffee straight away I can't say how long it keeps the drinks hot for but it does what I need it to. Normally I'd use a fold away cup to hide it away in my bag but they are made from silicon so the smell sticks to it regardless on how often you wash it. They also tend to leak when tilted or left on their side even if it's only the dregs of the drink left in it. Whilst I can't fold this flask away, the handle on the lid is very handy & makes it easy to carry along with my shopping bags. The coffee smell doesn't linger after I wash it either. After filling it up I held it up side down over the sink to check if it leaked which it didn't.Couple of minor things, taking the lid apart to clean is a bit awkward. It would also be nice if there was a mark on the inside to show how far up to fill it to reach the 354ml. Might save me from getting less coffee than I paid for & asking the barista to fill it up a bit!

I like the design, the product does a very good job and fits in my Billingham bag nicely, however it is let down due to the ease of getting spare parts. Although you can buy a full new lid, you cannot easily find replacement silicone seals.If you look at the photo they are not simple rings, so when in a couple of years time, when they will start to degrade, I will have to replace the entire lid which isn't particularly environmentally friendly. Considering the point of having one of these is to reduce unnecessary waste, I think they should have something on their website at least when you can easily order and purchase spare component parts.

Edited review, after 2 years of usagePerfect for holding cold drinks, can sats for more then 12hours.Its not so good for hot drinks. Max up to 4? You will have to top up with boiling water before making a hot drink and will keep it up to 4hours, then it will be mild temp.However, i do like design and style. Comfortable when using and its looks like new(always look after it so thats why)

i am gutted that i didn't gave up on it after 1 month as now i cannot return it. is everything that i wanted, had the strap to hold it, bigger size so i can alternate coffee or tea, easier cleaning than my previous one that had too complicated lid (lost twice small parts) ....but OH MY GOD how it changes the taste . especially for my coffee. i make my coffee at 8 am at home and at 8.45 at the office is soo bitter that puts me off so badly that 3/5 days i throw it away and make one in work in paper cups. maybe you guys can make a ceranic alternative?
