Easy to use at an ecxellent price.
Simple 3 button operation. Comes with a lanyard that is actually long enough to hang round your neck. Nice rubberised casing and it all feels like pretty good quality. No idea about the accuracy. I don't know how to check that, but I'll trust it. I originally said that the meter does not show the Beaufort Scale as pictured. I was wrong, so I'm editing my review. It does (it seems to be "always on"). There's no mention of it in the instruction paper though and no obvious setting, but if the wind's strong enough it does count it up regardless of the units.

Unbelievably inaccurate - Avoid
I’d give it zero stars if I could! Avoid at all costs. Very inaccurate readings. Took it up on a mountain hike where the forecast predicted 30/35mph winds and -13°C temps. The gauge showed 18mph and -0.7°C So it was way out! Total rubbish.

The battery life is really good, the fan is nice and smooth and sensitive so it picks up almost any air moving, the settings are easy to navigate, and it's rechargeable, It can be a useful item to have. The product is good.

Was looking for anemometer for kite flying! Wasn’t looking for 5000$Nasa precision device!! And was looking for easy reading setting and most important easy power source. Aaa batteries can be found everywhere and it’s cheap! Setting are super easy it came with a little pouch to protect your anemometer, 2 aaa batteries and the screwdriver is include to have acces to the batterie compartment. Overall I’m more than happy. Can’t get better for the price.

I have one with fan type which needs to face in direction of the wind. If wind is turbulent it does no read wind speed properly. I was looking for the one with cup, like professional weather station has. This small unit has 6 very clearly indicated buttons, which I made decision to buy this particular one. Others has only few buttons which you need to press two or three times to get to the thing you need, that said, if you remember the sequence. This unit for instance, if I want to turn on or off, I just need to push one button. Also, I like that it uses AAA battery, not coin battery. One thing I was disappointed, it did not come with carry pouch as it indicated in the "what included" and clearly shows in the picture. Additionally I had to apply lubricant at shaft. When I start using, vane did not turn when I walk with it. It should be around 1 meter/second or 4 km/hour. So I lubricate with the best lubricant I've got to top and bottom of the tiny shaft in the cage. Now it is registering little, in time when lubricant spread, I hope it's get better.

To be honest, I'm not sure how accurate this is for an actual wind speed reading. But repeatable results for comparative readings on air vents looks to well within tolerances.
