I purchased these for my daughter in law because her nipples were cracked and sore. She LOVED them!! They felt cool upon insertion and protected her nipples from rubbing against her bra. I'm a first time mom trying to breastfeed and I'm struggling! I have been buying up any and everything that claims to help make this a little bit easier. Maybe I just don't get it as this has so many positive reviews but this doesn't do anything for me. It's basically a nipple cover. I guess this can help if the rubbing of your nipples in your bra hurts but I think nursing pads do that. Also I have large breast and found this didn't stay where it was supposed to and actually ended up causing more pain. I also thought it was supposed to be cold to provide confort but it isn't. Lastly, it is super fragile and mine is already dented after 2 uses. They sent a note saying they would replace dented items if it was dented in the shipping process but mine was fine when I got it. Overall this is one of the items I regret purchasing and do not recommend it.

These are a lifesaver for breast feeding! The shields arrived quickly after I placed my order, and thank goodness they did did because the relief came just as quickly! My sore nipples were soothed within the DAY! I didn't use any cream or anything, just placed these shields on between feedings. I saw a few other reviews which said the material felt like cookie cutters, so I sized up just in case and I haven't had any issues, they are quite comfortable. Highly recommend these for those who are experiencing breast feeding pains.

I have a nickel allergy, but no allergy to silver. And I had a very bad reaction using these shields - burns around the nipples right where the shields were touching the breasts
