Good protein powder that meets our criteria
We have been trying protein powders for years - maybe 50 different brands over the past decades. It is hard to find one that meets our criteria: Low temperature processed, cross microfiltrated, no synthetic/dangerous sweeteners, good mixability, not too high in sodium, not a whey concentrate, no strong stevia bitterness, good vanilla flavor, not excessively expensive. This Muscle Feast Isolate is pretty close to meeting all of our criteria. It does have a slight stevia flavor, but it is not excessive. It mixes easily. Sodium levels are quite low. The vanilla flavor is actually very pure and high quality. The price is not really great but is better than Jay Robb which we used to purchase. In fact, this protein powder is very similar to Jay Robb in flavor and characteristics.Muscle Feast Isolate is a bit on the sweet side, but we always mix our vanilla proteins with Biochem Natural which makes it only moderately sweet. It is amazing to hear how many folks complain about the packaging. Who leaves it in the original package, anyway? It is nice they stopped using plastic tubs - environmental waste plus *microplastics* which get into the food. BAD! So we are using a nice large glass container with airtight rubber seals. Don't care a whit about the original package. All in all, this is a good protein powder and we are happy to have found it.

Hands down, the best protein powder available.
This stuff if unbelievable (vanilla flavor), truly. If someone gave me this and didn't tell me anything about it, I would just assume it is like all of the other chemical-laden, B.S. packed protein powders you get from GNC. Why do I say this? Based completely on how good it tastes and how easily it blends. Now take into account the fact that there's basically nothing in it and it's sweetened with Stevia, it truly is unreal. I've been using protein powder as a supplement for lifting and various other crazy training I've been doing for over 20 years and have tried just about every type-brand out there (worth trying that is). About 10 years ago I started looking for a protein powder without all of the "crap" and found it a daunting challenge. I've used this for over a week now and have had zero digestive issues (I either need something like Aminogen or a powder that truly has not lactose) and find that this makes everything I put it in tastes amazing. If everything I have read is correct, then the milk they are sourcing comes from Germany (?), which is great since the EU is far more stringent regarding chemicals etc. As well, I believe they are sourcing milk that goes straight into the process of making the powder, as opposed to using whey by-product from cheese making (which is what most protein powder manufacturers do). I typically just drink this with 6-7 ounces of water in a shaker bottle. Some mornings, it will go in my green smoothie I make in the Vitamix and it works incredibly there as well. It is a bit more expensive than some, but completely worth it. This is the best tasting, cleanest (crap free) protein powder I have ever found. Thank you Muscle Feast, you're killing it, keep up the good work.

Cleanest & tastiest protein powder I've tried
I drink a protein shake for breakfast several days a week. I add organic cacao powder to it for the health benefits so I always order vanilla for the way the two flavors blend into an amazing rich chocolate flavor. Muscle Feast has the lowest calorie content of any shake out there with the fewest total ingredients and no artificial ingredients. That's a big plus. The whey is pure and clean, the flavor naturally derived from real vanilla and it's sweetened with stevia leaf instead of sucralose or some other nasty artificial sweetener. No sugar content at all. For people watching sugar, but looking for a protein boost, it's simply the best. I also add a squirt of MCT oil to provide a healthy dose of medium chain fatty acids, which is excellent for controlling blood sugar. It's expensive, but worth every penny and at 94 servings per 5-pound jar, it's not as expensive as it seems.Follow up: I am on my 6th 5-pound jar of Muscle Feast and the quality is unquestionable. Excellent product for anyone who uses protein shakes as part of their dietary regime. For Keto dieters like me, it is simply the best you will ever find and I've tried many before finding this product. It is worth every penny they charge for it!

My take on the vanilla
I bought Muscle Feast Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate because I was looking for grass fed isolate from cows not treated with hormones, and this fit the bill. There were a lot of positive reviews, but I did notice some newer reviews talked about a change to the formula that made it too sweet. So here's my take, as a person who's used a lot of whey isolate products. The vanilla Muscle Feast protein powder mixes as well as any powder with relatively few ingredients, which is to say not quite as well as those with additional ingredients, but that's okay - I wanted less ingredients, more protein. The stevia taste is very strong and overwhelms with its sweet/bitter taste. As a very regular stevia user, I know what I consider too much stevia, and this was definitely want over the line off too much. But here's what I did about it. For every 20 grams of powder, I add a slightly heaping teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, which really takes the edge off. And sometimes a teaspoon of light sour cream, as well. And suddenly the protein drink is much more pleasant, even enjoyable. I tried a vanilla powder product, but I didn't like the end result as much. Still, if you have one you like, I'd say it's worth a shot.I talked to a very courteous Muscle Feast rep about the overwhelming stevia taste, and that rep said that some people had complained that the powder wasn't sweet enough. They said that some users mix half unflavored powder and half vanilla, but that would also get rid of the vanilla taste, which (for me) works very well with the cocoa powder. One other thing I wanted to point out is that Muscle Feast doesn't put certain information or icons on their powder to inform potential users. For example, if you look at the questions on the product page, you'll discover that the milk is sourced from Germany. You won't, however, find that into on the bottle. And while the find print of a longish paragraph on the bottle says this product is undenatured, it's not shown on the bottle in a way that stands out.WIth my cocoa powder tweak, I'm happy with Muscle Feast Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate, and I've ordered some unflavored to add to pancakes and breads. It's nice that there's a product for a reasonable price that hits all my wants for a protein powder. My previous favorite is about $50 for 2 pounds (Opportuniteas), and their chocolate has sugar (I'm diabetic, so staying away from sugar), so Muscle Feast's price for 2 pounds is definitely wallet-friendlier.

Consistent smooth taste and great results
Great product that mixes easily and tastes great. I add Greek yogurt and creatine to mine which is why it loos frothy in the photo, but without those things it’s a smooth consistency. It’s not uncommon for whey isolate to upset my stomach, I haven’t had a single issue with this product. The packaging is clean and attractive and the bag opens easily. I found my scoop immediately on top of the powder when I opened the bag. Another difference with this protein is the flavor. I usually stay away from Vanilla but I decided to risk it this time and I was not disappointed. My muscles feel full and recovered. I highly recommend this product.

Price Increases and Quality Decreases = bye bye Muscle Feast
I've ordered this product over 20 times. Initially it was my go to protein. It dissolved nicely, the ingredients were clearly stated and the taste was delicious. Fast forward a few years and I just cannot be a supporter of this brand or product any longer. I've noticed defective batches for at least the last 12 months. The first indicator (besides the ingredient and quantity changes) was the ability to dissolve with liquid. I never struggled to dissolve this with anything but now I have to heat up the water/milk so that it doesn't clump like crazy and it still clumps a lot even with warmer liquid. It used to be light and soft and now the texture of the protein is very granular, almost sand like (the protein blended version is better than this "isolate" mix but quality is terrible in both). Mixture aside, I've always loved the vanilla flavor - it's been a great add to my oats in the morning. Sadly, the vanilla flavor is hard to smell or taste anymore. I've had at least 6 people try to taste the vanilla in this and they couldn't. I don't understand why this company would change such a great product into total garbage that costs more than it originally did but I'm done wasting time on a product that's nothing more than a shell of its former self.

Prices have risen too many times. Now they shrunk the serving size and kept the same price!
First time i bought this protein powder, it was a $75 bag for 94 servings. This was over a year ago. Since then, I have watched this brand increase the price for the same product all the way to $130 at full price. Now this IS a solid protein powder, and the company tends to have flash sales where the price goes down to about $90, which was still SOMEWHAT reasonable for 94 servings. Which is why I accepted the multiple price hikes they have made over the last year and a half. Today, I noticed the bag design has been changed. Well, regular users, open your eyes wide before your next order, because Muscle Feast has QUIETLY SHRUNKEN the serving size BY 20 SERVINGS for the SAME EXACT FULL PRICE OF $130 rather than raise the price further. **EDIT** Okay, I did make an error here and will correct this review. I just realized that one scoop is now 30g of protein whereas it used to be 20.5g per scoop. 20.5g x 94 servings would be 1,927 grams of protein. 30g x 75 servings comes out to 2,250 grams of protein. So, actually this equates to more protein in the bag overall. Still, for the continuous rising prices, you’re better off meal prepping real animal protein if you are someone who cares about hitting your daily protein goals. Not sure if I’ll be purchasing going forward...
