Ordered the wrong one

The starter worked good except for the spring retainer diameter was rubbing on flywheel. Used one off the old starter with smaller duameter and worked great.

The motor works perfectly and this could have been a four or five star rating because this part was a perfect fit.The only reason for the three star instead of four or five is that the drive assembly would constantly stick and it did not have the nut torqued tight enough and the nut spun off. I replace the whole drive assembly with the old one and it work perfectly and made sure to put some lock-tight on to make sure it did not spin off.I would buy this unit again or recommend it to a friend or family member warning them not to throw away the old parts and make sure that the nut was tight and to put lock on it.

This was an exact match for my original starter on our 1986 Evinrude 150hp 2 stroke. Works well, easy install, back on water in 10 minutes.

Starter is no good. Tried to get a replacement still haven’t got a response. Going on a month now.

Worked great after ibstal.

it had a bad drive,i used my old one now work grate.
