Small Gods: (Discworld Novel 13)

Another great Discworld novel. Small Gods tends towards the more thoughtful end of the spectrum, and felt a little deeper (though a little less consistently funny) than, say, the Watch novels. Pratchett walks the line of satire perfectly, and there's no shortage of parallels to be drawn between real world traditions, though it rarely feels too on-the-nose.While Pratchett is a humanist and the tone is definitely flavored with realistic skepticism throughout, I wouldn't call it anti-religion at all - just anti-authoritarian-organized-religion. He treats individual beliefs with respect, but pulls no punches when it comes to those who abuse beliefs as a means to manipulate and claw their way into authority.

Lots of parallels with the world we live in, a truly great book written in an easy to read and fun way.

Book is great. Never expected a book could make me laugh this much. Also very thought provoking

La verdad que he empezado a aficionarme a Terry Pratchett hace relativamente poco, pero este libro me parece una maravilla. Muy entretenido y con mucho sarcasmo. Lo disfruté muchísimo.Un amigo me recomendó leerlos en inglés porque decía que con la traducción pierde un poco de la gracia... algunos los he leído en español y otros en inglés y me siguen pareciendo divertidos de las 2 maneras.El libro llegó perfecto y un poco antes de la fecha inicial, así que no tengo queja alguna
