Excellent mic for under 100
After investing in the Focusrite Scarlett Solo as the foundation of my audio setup, finding a microphone worthy of that interface became the next priority. The beyerdynamic M 70 PRO entered my consideration after extensive research into dynamic microphones suited for content creation and voiceover work. After pairing it with the Scarlett Solo across my usual recording sessions, it has proven to be a very solid microphone The frequency response is very flat and accurate for a dynamic microphone, with a slight presence boost in the upper midrange that adds clarity and intelligibility to vocal recordings without tipping into harshness. Compared to the more colored, bass-heavy sound profile of popular competitors like the Shure SM7B, the M 70 PRO X presents a more transparent and detailed picture of the source — which translates to less corrective EQ work in post and a more natural-sounding final product. For voiceovers, commentary, and spoken word content creation, the clarity and articulation it delivers is genuinely impressive. Build quality is exactly what you'd expect from beyerdynamic. The all-metal construction feels exceptionally solid and purposeful in hand, with a weight and density that communicates long-term durability. The internal shock mounting helps with handling noise, and the supercardioid polar pattern does an excellent job of rejecting off-axis room noise and background sound — a meaningful advantage for creators who don't have access to a fully treated recording environment. The included mount and accessories are well-made and functional, reflecting the overall premium nature of the package. There are a few considerations worth noting for prospective buyers. The supercardioid pattern, while excellent for rejection, does demand more precise microphone placement and technique compared to the more forgiving cardioid patterns found on many competing dynamic microphones. Stray even slightly off-axis and you'll notice a drop in presence and body that requires conscious adjustment during recording sessions. Additionally, as a dynamic microphone the M 70 PRO X requires a clean, high-gain preamp to truly perform at its best — pairing it with a quality interface like the Scarlett Solo is important, but users with noisier or lower-gain preamps may need to consider an in-line preamp booster like a Cloudlifter to get optimal results. The beyerdynamic M 70 PRO X is a serious microphone for serious content creators who want studio-grade audio quality without the compromises that come with cheaper alternatives. Paired with a quality audio interface, it delivers a level of clarity, accuracy, and professional character that stands out in any recording environment. For creators who have already invested in their visual setup and are ready to match it with equally capable audio, the M 70 PRO X is a deeply satisfying and highly recommended upgrade.

Excellent Mic for Home Office Setup
've been using the Beyerdynamic Pro X M70 mic for a month now as my primary microphone in my home office setup. I mostly use it for Teams meetings, and it works really well. I sound great to my virtual meeting participants, and it does an excellent job with background noise rejection. In the past, I used a Shure SM58 mic. While I believe the voice capture is similar, I prefer the proximity effect of the M70 mic. Additionally, this mic is less gain-hungry than the SM58. The look of this mic is more podcast-friendly than the SM58, so it is visually appealing as well.

ssssssibilant
Very bright sounding mic, gives innocent s sounds an aggressive sizzle. Sounded nice enough on guitar etc, just not entirely flattering on vocals etc. maybe a touch bright sounding in general. Shock mount included was a nice touch. For the reduced prices, this may be a very legitimate mic to have around for budget audio.

Needs a dynamic microphone type shock mount
I wish it had a better shock mount more suited for a dynamic mic

Price varies
I bought this mic when it was at the $60 mark. For that price this is an amazing deal. The sound is good quality. Initially when released this mic was an absurd 350 usd. Catching it for 60 was a steal. Even for 100 I would buy this mic again.

Great value
Easy set up, great sound. It works well with my Solo dac/amp and Ananda headphones. Friends on discord say I sound fuller and more clear.

Good mic but why didn't they make a more bespoke pop filter
The included pop filter should've been designed as like a solid piece to attach to the included shock mount or something instead of being just a standard gooseneck style mount.

Well built premium feeling microphone. Has a XLR output so you'll need your own audio interface.

All in all gute Entscheidung gewesen.
